Hi all, a little about me.I just turned 40 and I have 6 kids ages 23, 21, 19, 13 & 7 year old twins. Had my first baby at 16 so my tummy has been a mess since my teenage years and having twins at 33 did not do my body any favors lol at my heaviest, pregnant with the twins I reached about 300lbs and I'm only 5'4 so I was as round as I was tall but I quickly got down to and stayed at about 190 for the last 6 yrs but my stomach was a hanging, bulging mess which made me very self conscious.
About my tummy tuck adventure
I'm a little late posting on here (I am almost 3 months post op) but have been reading all of your tummy tuck journeys for about a year. So here is mine. First of all my recovery has been very hard, but my PS has been there for me the whole way, an amazing Doctor with an equally amazing staff, ok here we go, had my surgery on 7/30/13 woke up in recovery in horrible pain, feeling nauseous and shaking so don't really remember the ride home and all I can say is that everything was painful. I found it impossible to even wipe my own butt thank god for my amazing husband who took very good care of me wiping and cleaning and changing all the nasty stuff. (Lady days started 2 days post op) poor guy. Lol so at day 5 I was able to move and walk a little easier but still painful, but that's when my incision started to get tiny holes, over the next 4 weeks those tiny holes turned into the front being open about 8 inches, scared me to death and wondered why the hell I did this to myself and my family. My doctor tried stitching it closed 5 different times but seemed like each time I would wake up the next day covered in fluid and seeing another hole so finally he decided that we would let it heal from the inside out which I had my doubts that it would even work but he's the one with the degrees haha amazingly enough it slowly..very slowly it has healed almost, still a bit of a scab about 1/4 of an inch is all that's left and really doesn't look too awful.
Swelling..
I am constantly swelled every day a little less in mornings than at night, especially after work, I went back to work 4 weeks ago, the swelling is very bad after work because I'm a waitress and on my feet for 8 hours a day but it gets easier each day.

Im still wearing my cg through the day and binder at night, just wondering if I'm alone in that 3 months post op? There is no longer pain just a ton of swelling each day. I think its just a comfort thing, sort of my security

So sorry to hear about the problem area. Glad it is healing now. I'm 25 days PO and the swelling is driving me nuts. I was hoping it would be less and less by now, but its not. :-( I sit at a desk all day and that makes me swell too...so not sure which is better....probably neither. LOL Too bad we can't just lounge around all day for 6 months. Hahahaha....hope you continue to heal well.

Well happy that you are healing so well. :) thank you. Yes this swelling is annoying even at 3 months but its not so bad in the mornings so I can actually see a preview of what my final results will be and its beautiful lol :) I agree lounging around for 6 months would definitely make recovery easier. Hope your recovery continues to go smooth. :)
