I had the eclipse micropen with PRP treatment on my face and neck. My NP went 0.5 mm deep on my forehead. 1 mm deep on other areas of my face (1.25 on my lower cheeks and pores around my nose/lower eye junction) and 1.25 on my neck. I have some laxity in my lower cheeks and very front of my neck that I am hoping to improve with increasing collagen from the treatment. I also have 2 sun spots on either side of my cheeks. I have to say it was painful even with the 4% lidocaine topical cream. Most painful was around the eye area but it was tolerable. My neck was the least painful. My face and neck were red for entire first day - had procedure done at 1030 am. Extremely red! Don't plan anything on day of treatment except house duties. I used my care kit of facial cleanser and serums that eclipse pen endorses for aftercare. The step 3 bottle stung like crazy but subsided after a few seconds.
Day 2 - redness was moderate but easy to cover with light powder. My NP told me not to wear foundation just yet. I went to the gym in the morning and did an hour of boot camp. Afterwards I washed my face (fingertips only) and applied the serums from the facial care kit.
I'll post more as my face heals. I have slight peeling on my lower cheeks and neck today and slightly swollen.

The actual micro pen w prp took about 30 min for face and neck. I had numbing cream applied for an hour prior to the treatment so about 1.5 hrs total.

How long to fully heal? Enough to wear makeup and go out in public? Lots of swelling? How long did swelling last? TY

I wore makeup the next day and had some redness for a couple days that was easily covered with makeup. Just one day of down time.

So, was it worth it? Did you have longterm positive results? Negatives? Wondering why no updates...

TY 4 ur post & progress. I'm going to do this within 8 weeks (Vampire Lift) on same areas u mentioned. However, I'm 61 & want to maintain firmness, contours & look natural but nice 4 my age. Hopefully this will work til I get lower lift/lipo funds saved.

I have a comb. microderm/peel done monthly and it got rid of my sun spots. Also consider trying pure Retinol. I use only during winter & works good.

Thank you for sharing your sun spot removal tips! I am only 4 days out from this. I'll let you know how it did for skin laxity and pores. I've read that you need 2-3 4-6 weeks apart depending on results but my NP said just one may be enough.

So far ( two weeks out) I've seen a bit more fullness in my cheeks. My pores look the same. My little lines in my lower left cheek are there.. but small.

Hi - wondering how you're doing now! I'm 6 weeks out from the first treatment and really don't see any difference. That being said, I am getting a second treatment this Friday 8/5. Just PRP with micropen...no injections. Fingers crossed that this produces some results!

I see a little more fullness but that is about all. My pores still are about the same. I didn't have any injections just PRP smoothed over the micropen areas. I've read you need 2-3? To see a difference. Let me know if you see results second time around!

Thank for your response! Office had to postpone my treatment from Friday. I will be getting it done tomorrow. I'll definitely keep you posted!

I don't know! I'm wondering too. Some have reported more fullness seen at one - two weeks.

I just had my treatment 2 days ago! Looking red and splotchy and a small bruise under my left eye from injection. I think my numbing cream was on for about 20 minutes, then the doctor did the injections under my eyes and around my mouth. Then the technician did the dermapen for about an hour all over my face and neck. The prp did hurt when it was injected, but the dermapen was totally tolerable. I have been using a human stem cell serum, aloe gel and CeraVe PM moisturizer. No peeling yet! I wore my BB cream and some concealer today and looked pretty normal. I got some PRP to take home and freeze. My technician said to use my .2 microneedle at home in 2 weeks and apply it. I'm in the San Diego area and had the PRP injections and Dermapen treatment. The cost is $900 for both. Just the Dermapen w/PRP is $500. I'm hoping for a good outcome, but think I will need additional treatments.

Thank you for your experience. I asked my technician if I should do the smaller derma roller at home and she said no. It can cause scarring. I think that's being a bit too safe. Let me know how your .2 derma roller works for you. I didn't get any injections. She just used the PRP topically on my face like a serum. Wondering if I should've gotten the PRP injected?

The bruise will fade very soon
June 29, 2016
So, I'm 6 days out now and almost all of the redness is gone, but the bruise is still there. I know it will fade, but it may take another week. Not really swollen anymore. I really didn't peel at all! Of course I don't see any results yet, but I'm hoping. Also not sure if the injections are necessary yet, but I will definitely keep you posted. I have used that .2 derma roller off and on for quite a few months and I don't have any damage, but not sure it does anything, either. BTW, I'm 63 y.o. and very thin. I look good, but the skin sag has been awful and I really wanted to do something as natural as possible. I've had Ultherapy and Infini RF on lower face and neck and neither has done anything for me.
August 8, 2016
Have you experienced any fat loss or worsening of the sagging with ultherapy and infinity RF? I had fractora done and I'm pretty sure I lost fat and now I have dry skin in addition
August 9, 2016
Hi. I just this minute got back from my 2nd PRP! It did hurt and I'm quite red, but tolerable.
I can't say I experienced fat lose because I really had no fat to begin with. As far as worsening of the sagging...it has gotten worse, but I really don't know if it is just naturally happening with time or if it's worse from the treatments. So sorry you had a bad experience. I think we're all just guinea pigs for these treatments. We all react differently.
