Had my first consultation last summer but have been wanting to get a tummy tuck for years! This year I turned 40 and realized, What am I waiting for? I have raised two beautiful daughters who are in college and working towards creating wonderful lives for themselves. I've sacrificed A LOT to get us to this place and now I'm ready to spoil myself a bit! I've always believed in living a healthy lifestyle and love lifting weights, almost anything with kettlebells and yoga. Even so, this pooch and these stretchmarks don't care nothing about that! Their days are limited - 8 more to be exact. I'm having my TT w/lip on 11/11/14.

You are going to love yor results. Like me, you'll still have some booty curve! You look pretty fit too so recovery will be better. Um grateful I had a strong body before surgery. No need for things like toilet risers . Lol! My TT was my 39th bday gift. Go girl! Claim what you deserve. Can't wait to see post op pics.

My experience thus far has been a lot better than I expected...though it's only been a few hours. My family has been so supportive and my boyfriend is here taking wonderful care of me. Draining drains, timing meds and helping me thru the god awful walks around the house. So far, that's the worst of it. As far as the procedure went, I laid down and woke up...bandaged up, sore and with a couple drains. That's it. Was not around for any of it! I was told that everything went really well. Cant wait to see what all is going on down there. First post op appt tomorrow.

Had my first post-op appointment today. Everything is going great! The walks are helping a lot. The more I walk the easier it gets. I get really stiff and sore from sitting. The pain is manageable just hard to find a comfortable position. Back hurts more than anything. I saw my stitched up belly today. Thank God for the pics posted by others. I think I would of freaked out had I not known what to expect! Very swollen and perfectly imperfect.

One day at a time !!!! The back pain seems to be the worst for many of us .

Congrats on your surgery! I never had back pain but I totally agree that sitting still causes you to feel more stiff and sore. The toughest things for me are changing positions in bed and convincing myself that if I get out of bed in the morning the pain will start going away in a few minutes. Keep up with the positive thoughts. Sounds like you have support at home. It really helps to have someone time and administer your meds.
