Happy with my SMAS lift!
I’m at day 12 now and so far everything is going the way it should go...at least according to the doctor. I’m loving the results but still have swelling and cheeks still feel hard and numb from the fat injections. First several days the neck and cheeks feel like clay mold. Very strange feeling. I’m hoping my review will help some of you who is trying to make a decision or is going to have this done. First off Dr Green is amazing at what he does.. I research a lot before deciding to go with him and feel good that I selected him. I had smsa lift, upper eye, and fat injections. I had lost volume in lower face and neck was sagging. I’m a small petite gal who needed a tune up. I was also thinking about having either co2 or a peel but didn’t feel I needed it (I don’t have deep wrinkles) and since I had already had a dual laser treatment a couple months prior for some brown sun spots and overall texture at a different place and I did not want to pay the extra 1,500.00 that he charges. Very glad I made that decision not to. When I went to have surgery, I was scheduled at 12:00/noon and I was taken right into operating room..I had arrived at 10:30am and was extremely nervous/filled with anxiety but remained calm. I was trying to do some deep breathing exercises to myself (lol) to try and calm my inner nervousness while laying on the table looking up at all these big machines. My blood pressure reached 136 because of being scared and I normally have very low. As I layed on the operating table the nurses were getting me hooked up and prepped. They were very courteous and informative of what was happening. I had requested to see the doctor beforehand so I could go over a couple things. I was put under twilight but did wake up a couple of times during surgery with feeling a little pain/discomfort but then I was out..not a big deal.. I woke up comfortable and ready to go home around 6:30pm.. I was given some zofran for nausea which is a lifesaver and some good pain meds that my insurance covered. I was on those for about 3.5 full days then extra strength Tylenol here and there. Beware and make sure to take some type of laxative regularly or you’ll be in pain from constipation like I was. Learned a tough lesson. Next day I went back had the wrapping redressed and everything looked great. Day 5 went back in and had staples removed and dressing removed and then day 11 I had staples removed which did not hurt at all... I would say the worst part was i was unable to sleep well for the first few nights even though I had Ambien my pain meds wired me.. so I was sleep deprived and emotional. The one thing I can say is I do not like the tightness around my neck/under my neck. I feel like I’m hanging on a puppet string. I have a thing with anything touching my neck and for me this has been the worst part of it. When I was able to shower first time which was 2 days after..my hair felt like hard Bristol wire because if tgecdried blood. Yes little hair came out first/second time but I have a lot of hair and didn’t freak out. I’m now wearing a sling around my neck/head (day 11) for swelling. Each day is getting better and know soon I’ll be back to looking like me but better..:) The other thing that had me concerned was my waxy shiny skin but one of the nurses adviced me that my PH balance was off and to start using my cleanser/moisturizer (I use obagi zen and a mild image moisture) every washing. I also have some break out which I’ve never had. The good part is I can see my neck and the bands look incredible. I have kept this on the down low with only a few select people knowing.. first time out will be around day 18... getting bored for sure but I know it will be over soon. Glad I did this at this time of year. So all in all I’m very happy with doctor green..he’s been very professional and nice. His assistant Stacey is also kind. I highly recommend him..So don’t hesitate in trusting Doctor Green..

I've selected Dr. Scott Green from Sacramento to do this surgery. Getting nervous more each day and hoping for minimal pain. I have told only a couple of people so it will be interesting if people will notice a big change and how long it will take to look normal. Hoping for the best. I have droopy jowls, bands around my neck and it seems It got worse when I went through menopause. I will follow up after surgery. To see how it went.
