Eleven days out and every day feels a bit better. I go back on the 17th for my 2 week check and get this second drain out. :)

Well Sorry I haven't posted for a whole week, but...
Well Sorry I haven't posted for a whole week, but it's been rough. I actually developed a DVT (blood clot) in my left leg and spent 7 hrs in the ER Tuesday. I'm on Xeralto for the next three months, it actually just got approved by the FDA about 2 months ago to treat DVTs. Which is great because otherwise I would have been in the hospital on a heparin drip for a couple of days. This was bad enough, but my husband was in Arizona (i'm in Calif) and my family lives in Los Angeles (we're near Sacramento) and my 10 and 13 yr old girls were home while I drove myself to the ER. No pain pills since 2 a.m. went to the ER at 10 a.m. and got home by 6:30 p.m. downing 2 pain killers ASAP! It was a highly emotional day. All is better now, my leg is still sore, but saw my surgical doc today and everything is looking great. They left one drain in until next week and then sutures come out around my belly button too. Will keep you posted. Thanks for your support!
Day 2 and feeling a little off. headache and...
Day 2 and feeling a little off. headache and vomiting on day one. walking around like they told me to. my drains are producing less fluid than yesterday. Getting some eggs and banana down along w/ice chips. Post more when I'm feeling better.
