Hello RS, I've been looking at reviews and loving the shared experiences of you all. I am scheduled to have a full tt and breast lift w/ no implants 6/15/13. I am 39 with one son turning 10 this month. Been struggling with weight and this tummy since he was born.... So over it! Wouldn't trade being a mom for anything! I've managed to loose 16lbs yay me, my goal is 25. Surgery is in 12 days OMG! Please share with me anything useful as I prepare for my new bod :) ( garments, topical scar ointments, sleeping furniture etc...)
Thanks RS community

Welcome to RealSelf and thank you for starting your story! Here's a list of supplies you might find helpful for recovery. Also check out this post by Blonde in Bluffton about her first three days post op.

You can do this and we are here for you!

Congrats! I haven't had surgery yet, but it seems that toilet seat risers, recliners, walkers, are helpful. Stay away from sodium to reduce swelling. Walk as often as possible, even though you have pain to avoid clots. Plenty of water. Increase your protein intake. I read that Vitamin C is great to start taking 2 weeks prior to surgery. Something called EmergenC. Best of luck to you!! Definitely read Blonde in Blufton!

So I really suck at posting and updating, however am so excited my day is near. I so feel prepared because of all you ladies who've blazed the trail. There is a wealth of experience here...would've been lost without you all. Got my supplies, recliner, meds, stool softener etc.. Again I'm having a mommy makeover tt/bl/lipo this fri @ 6:30am. I realized I wrote 6/15 instead of the 14th. I posted a question and "wish pic" which some of the responses I didn't want to hear. The were honest from qualified Dr.'s saying I'm overweight and may be disappointed with the results. I'm not attempting to use ps as a means of weight loss, nor do I wish to be 'skinny' I love being 'curvy'. My goal weight is 185.... with no tummy! I will post post updates as I heal. I hope to be a help in someone else's journey.

So I've heard that upper tummy fat is harder to tuck/lipo by my ps and other doctors on RS. However I have been pleased by my ps work on similar body types, as well as others. There are even some who have more than me who results were amazing.
