WORTH IT
Ok, so yesterday I had my sutures taken out. Not bad at all, I thought it would hurt to have them removed. At this point, alot of the swelling is down and I am gaining alot of my energy back. My only real struggles at this point are the fact that my nipples are SUPER sensitive to the touch and I am tired of sleeping on my back. ( I am a stomach sleeper and not being able to sleep on my stomach or at least on my side is driving me crazy! ) My incision points are healing nicely, I definitely think my scarring will be minimal. Still cant lift my arms over my head or lift heavy items but Im definitely feeling better. Looking forward to my next check up in a few weeks. By then I should be back to normal!

I am feeling the same anxiety. I don't want to do to much when it comes to sleeping at night. I have figured out a way to sleep on my side and back at the same time. I know sounds impossible. I do have a scab from the blister after surgery and it looks awful. Should I cut back on showers?

Back sleeping has become a struggle for me lol. I am glad that you have found a comfy position. I am not sure about the shower thing, I just take it real easy on my breasts in shower, I never let the water directly hit them. I let the water run over them from behind. ( my back to the shower head )

Congrats on your surgery! You look amazing! I am similar to you....5'7 158 lbs, 36DDD. I am hoping to get great results like this. Do you have any recovery advice? And do you have a list of supplies you recommend for recovery process? I will be looking forward to your review updates!

Hello and thank you :) Best recovery advice, follow docs orders and take your time. Definitely dont lift heavy and buy a couple good sports bras. Zip up sports bras will be your BFF. I forget the name of the little yellow tape that I used. It has medication on it. Its great. I will get the name, Gurad makes it. Also, comfy pillows and back support while sleeping.

So...today is Friday. I had my surgery Monday the 21st. Sooooo glad I went through with this. My breasts are so much less swollen than yesterday. U have nipple and allover breast sensation in both girls. I have showered the past two days but have yet to remove the tape. I'm being super gentle because I want to have least visible scarring. I will share my worries I had pre surgery with you just in case there is someone out there as paranoid as me. My fear was the anesthesia. Or that I would be awake and feel the surgery. The morning of surgery ...my boyfriend and daughter took me to Kaiser...I checked in. After about 15 minutes in the waiting room I was called back...weighed..vitals. I put my gown on...and the nurse asked me question. Anesthesia team came by and asked the same questions. Doctor Garcia came in and drew his dotted lines on my chest. I got my IV put in and was informed at that point that I would be receiving a catheter and tube in my throat after anesthesia. This made me nervous. I think the anesthesia doctor realized this as I started tearing up. Lol. He said I'm going to make you feel better. He out a tube on my iv and I felt bricks hit me. I was out of it. They started wheeling me to the room and then I heard someone calling my name. My family were sitting there and I had a lighter chest. That fast. I don't even remember anything. Everything I stressed was irrelevant. So don't worry...just do it if you want the outcome. I was worried that I would have no sensation in my nipples..but I do. They are softer after the swelling has gone down. I got my drains out second day. I will update again next week.

Glad to see you are happy with the results i am actually undergoing a breast reduction in October i am so nervous and your story made me feel alot less nervous now im just anxious ! lol just a few questions .. What size are you now? Can you wear a regular bra post surgery? When you woke up did you feel any severe pain? Did it change anything about your self confidence?

How exciting! October will be here before you know it. I am a C now. After the swelling goes down maybe a small C. No regular bras for now. My doc suggested a front zip sports bra. (I will upload pic) no underwire. It leaves room for padding and swelling. When I woke up I didn't feel any pain other than a slight headache. Possibly because I didn't have coffee that morning. Lol. As far as self confidence...I feel so Mich better already. My larger breasts made me conscious when wearing certain shirts and how they looked in clothes. Felt like everyone just stared at them because they were large. The breasts I have now are Still a good size. Not heavy. Perky. So it boosted my confidence
