Time for my closed rhinoplasty!

Hi all!
so i have my primary rhinoplasty scheduled for 07.13.17.. i'm very excited but also super nervous! I get anxiety thinking about going under general anesthesia however I try to tell myself it'll all be worth it. It also helps reading other people's posts about their concerns.. I just want it to be over with.  So a little about myself, i'm in my twenties and have wanted rhinoplasty for as long as I could remember. I hated my profile view. Although I still am called "beautiful" with this nose, I know I will feel even more beautiful with my new nose. I hope everything goes well and the surgeon is able to get my nose VERY close to the morphed photo. I plan on having my dorsal hump reduced, my nose straightened and the tip refined. I trust my surgeon completely and i'm anxious to see the results.. I just don't want a super straight nose, the swoop tip nose, or an upturn nose.. I know i;ll never have a tiny nose but I hope it becomes more feminine!  I'm getting ready (getting my prescriptions in order for post op). if there is anything anyone recommends that is a must have after surgery let me know!! i have the basics (cough drops, q-tips, hydrogen peroxide, nasal spray, saline spray) for my post op recovery. but i'm also thinking about investing in a humidifier.  surgery is in 3 days!! ahh! i need some words of encouragement. i know I'm going to be a nervous/anxious mess on surgery day.. its at 8:00am so at least i'll get it done with early in the day... surgery will be 3-4 hours long. Any last minute tips/thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Hi all! I thought i'd like to start writing about...

Hi all!
I thought i'd like to start writing about my journey to scarless rhinoplasty! I have been actively looking to have rhinoplasty for the past year or so, however, I have been wanting this procedure ever since I was in high school. I have my fathers Italian nose and I have always been self conscious in photos and when someone is staring at my profile. I had my first consultation with a plastic surgeon in Stanford, however I wasn't too fond of the idea of him having to preform an open and closed rhinoplasty on me. An open rhinoplasty is where the plastic surgeon makes an incision in the columella of the nose. I honesty did not want to risk having another scar on my face, and take the chance of it not healing pretty. My nose has a dorsal hump that I would like taken down, its slightly crooked to the right and I would like some tip refinement. My nose will have to be fractured in order to straighten it out, which is why most plastic surgeons would want to make an incision on my columella. After countless hours of research I found Dr. Clark in sacramento. He is a world class, triple board certified plastic surgeon. He has been in practice for many years, and prefers to preform closed/scarless rhinoplasty. Instead of making an incision in the columella, he is able to preform a closed rhinoplasty with small incisions inside of my nostril. I had my consultation with him in June, and decided to schedule a surgery with him July 13th, 2017.
My first consultation with Dr Clark went VERY well, he asked me what I didn't like about my nose and what I would like him to change.. then with great detail he measured my nose, took photos, and explained to me every detail of my nose and how he would like to change it. He likes to talk out loud as he examines my nose and write out details on his paper, which I found very helpful, because I was able to get an idea on the structure of my nose and what he was planning to do. He spent a good 2-2.5 hours during my consultation to make sure every aspect of my nose was covered and we shared the same final image. I knew right away that Dr Clark would be the best plastic surgeon for me. I felt very comfortable with him and I knew I could trust him to give me the perfect nose. He's very nice and personable and I connected with him right away. He is also a straight talker and doesn't sugar coat anything. He knows exactly what to do and how he expects the nose to turn out. He's very meticulous, like an artist.
My first consultation in Stanford, felt rushed. I was in and out of the consultation within 45 minutes. The plastic surgeon even had his assistant in to take pictures of my nose, and ask me what I wanted changed and then went out to report to the plastic surgeon. When the plastic surgeon finally came in to see me, he didn't talk out loud and basically said what would you like, and " ok this is what i can do" and morphed my nose. Although the nose he created wasn't too bad, it looked like your standard nose, not unique to my face at all. He would like to use an open rhinoplasty approach to fracture my nasal bones to straighten it, which I didn't like. I know my nose needs to be fractured, but I was hoping he would use the closed approach, because I know it is possible to use a closed approach. He then asked me what questions I had and then sent me on my way.. I left that consultation feeling not too great.. This is why i began searching for another plastic surgeon to consult with, and I am so happy that I found Dr. Clark. He was everything I had hoped for and more.
Since I am on a tight time frame to have this procedure preformed I booked a surgery date with Dr Clark after my consultaion. His staff is wonderful and went out of their way to try to fit me in for a surgery as soon as possible, making a few phone calls along the way to see if some things could be moved around for me. I then scheduled for a pre-op appointment for on july 5th with a surgery on july 13th.
