I had a Concept facelift and Liposuction under my jawline 10 days ago at The Fabulous BellaVou with Amir 10 days ago.
Having watched the Videos of the procedures many times and being lucky enough to know some previous friends that had the same procedure last year I was 100 percent sure about going ahead, especially after speaking with Beau, Stevie and all the team at Bella Vou who are all wonderful.
I'm on day 10 and doing well but got the ear pain, a lot of swelling,lack of sleep etc but if I'm honest I've had migraines worse than the recovery days so far.
The one thing I didn't think about prior to surgery was that you can hear a lot of what's going on when the cutting and pulling and stitching is going on, plus I think I Had a tougher time during surgery due to Amir explaining that I had a lot of fibrous The tissue (thick skin) great for healing but not so good for the procedure as it can make the anaesthetic not penetrate aswell as normal and I'm not going to lie I Could feel at certain times, and the injections are pretty hmmmm ,Amir explained to me that this is quite rare and obviously it makes the cutting more difficult than usual,
( oh,the thought of it yuk)
After the injections I had the Lipo, this was not a problem at all in fact I kept giggling due to the noise and that bit was over fairly quickly, We all had good conversation even though at times I went quiet as couldn't quite believe what I was doing at that moment, I mean let's face it !! Ha you are awake through the whole procedure so I think you go into a little bit of shock and excitement that your finally there having it done.
I am 52 and was feeling for many years my neck was ageing faster than my face, it was really really getting me down, I now have my old Jawline back from 10 years ago and a tight neck, no saggy skin, And can see I will be very pleased with the results already,
Having read all the reviews here on The Concept Facelift I would say I'm the same in recovery as most people but one helpful thing is every now and again I've had a crawling tickling feeling in my face and neck that's very random, it's quite a nice feeling as just after it happens you feel a little more of the numbness coming back to life, it's just the healing process, my ears have driven me bonkers with tickling feelings inside the ear but Having spoken to Amir a few times since my procedures on Skype I felt reassured all was normal.
I stayed at The Warwick Park hotel just across the road from Bella Vou,a great location and nice hotel but parking is a bit tricky, I would recommend you take someone with you and stay for a few days as to be perfectly honest I Didn't feel it was long enough as I Only stayed the one night then had a very long journey home alone and I Had thick bandages on for a few days after due to the lipo suction area.
Amir is clearly the best surgeon ever, a truly lovely person that goes an extra 100 miles to make sure you understand completely what is happening, prior, during, and after the procedure, and his team are a true credit to him, all of them.
Im my view If your thinking of having this surgery done at Bella Vou and you have been brave enough to watch the procedure done on the videos AND feel you can cope with being awake through the procedure, then I say GO FOR IT but be prepared to also go through the patience of waiting to get through the healing phases afterwards. I hope this helps anyone out there thinking about knocking off some years and feeling more confident.
