Hello everyone, I had my first microblading...

Hello everyone,
I had my first microblading session on 9/23/2017. I had some sparse areas in my eyebrows that I wanted to fill so I could feel more comfortable when not wearing makeup. I went to Cali Brow Wow in Roseville CA. I asked that I keep my natural eyebrow shape and length and just wanted to fill in the patchy areas near the arch of my eyebrow and the bulb. The first session went well, and I actually really liked the results at first. During the healing process, I had some migration of the dye in the bulb of the eyebrows. Much of it faded in those first 6 weeks, so I went back for the touchup.
In the second session, the aesthetician did not map out the shape of my eyebrows as she had done previously. She also did not point out that there had been substantial migration and that the color she selected for me (brown) ended up looking a bit gray. She added new strokes free-hand and ended up making my left eyebrow a lot longer than it needed to be towards the head and also since she used a finer blade, the pigment looked a lot darker. On the right eyebrow, she gave me a severe angled head, whereas the left was a softer rounded edge. I tried lifting some pigment from the right brow to soften the edge, but because of how fine the tool was that she used, it was deeply imbedded in my skin. In this session, there was more migration of pigment likely because of the depth.
Needless to say, I have been very embarrassed to go out. I have been using various concealers to hide some of the excess pigment, but not a perfect fix. It is highly noticeable to me! I brought this up to the aesthetician, and she is actually pleased with her work and doesn't see what I am complaining about. She recommended that I revisit her 4 weeks after the touchup. Now that I am 3 weeks out from the touchup, I am do not want to go back to the original aesthetician. I have gone for other consultations and was told to go back to the original artist for a revision. But I am too scared and upset to go.
I am looking into PhiRemoval. Has anyone had experience with this? There seems to be limited information / reviews out there on this procedure. Is it because it is new? Any other (non-home) recommendations for removal that does not involve laser?

Had microdermabrasion done to remove some pigment

Hi All,
I went to an aesthetician to perform microderm. on my face and also go over the areas of my eyebrows I hate the most. I noticed that a little of the pigment faded, but not a whole lot. Here is a picture of my eyebrows two weeks prior to the microderm. I have also been adding a layer of la posay roche redermic retinol cream to fade away the strokes. It is working in my opinion. I am still going to get the phiremoval consultation this coming week. Stay tuned! I hope to have my natural eyebrows back soon.

I don't know what you are unhappy about. It looks great to me and I would tell you if it didn't as all I see now in the second is looks like a loss of pigment in the very front that now you will want to fill in. I WOULD RECOMMEND YOU NOT GO THROUGH WITH THE PHIREMOVAL...PLEASE PLEASE WAIT AND GIVE THIS A CHANCE TO HEAL PROPERLY. Then see about a touch up. Keep us informed. Honestly, I don't see what you are unhappy about.

The photos look fantastic. Don’t be in a hurry to get them removed. I was in the same boat, but after waiting it out, I’m so glad I did it. Yours look perfection from the start, unfortunately mine did not, but 3 weeks later...... love them.

phiremoval consultation- Scheduled for 12/18

Hi All,
Today was my consultation of phiRemoval with Mylene at Delicate Touch Aesthetics. When I met Mylene, she was warm and noticed the asymmetry I mentioned right away. She confirmed that there had been severe migration of the pigment of the microblading and that the aesthetician who had done my eyebrows prior had used very heavy handed strokes that led to scarring. She showed me that the head of my eyebrow should begin right at my tear duct, which is exactly where my natural eyebrows started. We discussed scarring, and she admitted there might be some scarring that will go away over time. She showed me her previous work and also what properly microbladed eyebrows should look like. I spoke with her for half an hour and she had a client come in who had received 2 phiRemoval sessions for some very bad microblading. The client and Mylene agreed to both answer questions and also to let me watch the procedure.
For the phiRemoval, she thoroughly cleansed and then numbed the skin with 5% lidocane. She allows the skin to absorb the numbing cream for 30 minute. Using a set of finely rounded needles on the head of a microblade pen dipped into the 30% Glycolic Acid solution, she started to stipple along each stroke intended for removal. This helps the solution to penetrate below the epidermis and the glycolic acid reacts with the pigment and essentially solubilizes it into the liquid. Yes, there is some bleeding, but you will be surprised how much pigment is pulled out along with it. Each eyebrow took about 15 minutes. She was very careful to not over work the skin, in effort to minimize the scars. I asked the client about scarring and she said that while she did have a lot of pinkness after the first sets of scabs fell off, she did not see any permanent scarring. After watching the procedure, I felt more comfortable (though I am still scared) and went ahead and made the appointment.
I am scheduled for December 18, right before I go home for the holidays. Hopefully that will give me the needed down time to heal before heading back to work.
Because I am only interested in modifying the heads of my eyebrows, she's only going to charge me $80 for the first visit and $50 for any other subsequent visits I may need. She recommends spacing them by 6 weeks apart.
Stay tuned!

Please keep us updated. I went to a place in Folsom and would like mine removed too; I live close to you in Lincoln.

I find it surprising that there aren't many options of permanent makeup removal in the area, don't you? Have you been researching it?
December 5, 2017
Yes... the place on Yelp in Rocklin said they won’t do a second touch up appointment to fix them and that we would have to start over, whatever that means. A place in Sac would do the touch up and fix any issues. I haven’t found a removal, but I’m grateful you have. How are your eyebrows looking now?

Well they really didn't lighten up, so I went ahead and finally did the glycolic acid removal this past week. I can't tell just yet how they'll look after they heal. Still have a scab. I posted the after pics

Good you got a consultation but I still wouldn't do it. Of course she will recommend you do something as that is her business to sell you something. I"m afraid you will not be happy with removing the pigment. I'm not sure what you mean by migration but I believe you and everyone needs to know about all these possibilities. As I said, I'm on Day 6 and so far, it's not perfect but I think it can be corrected in a touch up. I would never do the microneedling again and wish I had researched not only the procedure but also the practioner before being talked into this when I went for a consultation. I will be posting pictures in a few days. Really think about if you should go through with this removal procedure which I must admit, I don't understand what you are trying to achieve. I'm afraid it will look worse and you will have scar tissue which I have which means even with lidocane, the procedure hurt me like hell and I was crying really badly because of the heavy handed first women left me with scarring which cannot be numbed...THIS PROCEDURE REALLY HURT ME...

Thank you for your response, @chellamia. I am so deeply sorry about your experience with microneedling. I look forward to seeing your posting. Regarding removal, I am still really weighing my options. I am still using the retinol-A cream, and it seems like its lightening up, but just not fast enough. A part of me just thinks I should wait it out. My complaint about my eyebrows is that the right over extends towards the bridge of my nose. And while I don't like the right one, its not as bad as the left. :( I will repost another picture in case its not clear in these ones. The migration I am talking about will be clearer in the new pics, and basically it looks like a gray smudge on my skin. The smudge is from the first visit, and the darker hair strokes are on top of the smudgey mess are from the second visit.
