I first began thinking about cosmetic surgery...

I first began thinking about cosmetic surgery December 2013 when I went out to lunch with a girlfriend who revealed she had had the procedure. Except that her face looked younger and more alive and her skin looked dewy, I would never have guessed that she had had surgery 2 weeks before. Then in March 2014, a very close friend announced she was getting the surgery. I saw her 3 days afterwards and several times during the first 3 weeks. She healed so rapidly that I was amazed and she also looked just wonderful. I had resisted facial surgery because I thought I would have to go into the hospital and have general anesthetic. However, the Lifestyle lift only requires outpatient care, anti-anxiety medication and topical anesthetic. I decided to have a consultation.
My doctor suggested that I have the Lifestyle Lift for my chin and lower face, an eyebrow life, upper eye and laser treatment as well. His office offered an 18 month no interest payment plan; however, I elected to pay $6, 400. Down and make payments on the balance.
The week before the procedure, I saw Dr. Cerisi for a pre-op appointment. He gave me prescriptions to have filled, fully explained what he would be doing, and made sure that I would have someone to transport me to and from my surgery. I told him I would be staying with one girlfriend for two days and another for the next two days. My “before” picture was taken that day.
I went in June 18th and had the procedure done. The anti-anxiety medications can create amnesia and I continue to have no memory of the actual procedure. I did have a bad experience with the anti-anxiety medication as I fainted that evening in the bathroom hitting my chin. I was transported to the ER because of low pulse and blood pressure. I had never used any anti-anxiety medication prior to this procedure and it is now in my medical record that I am extremely sensitive to it and it should be avoided at all costs. This is a very rare occurrence especially at the low dose prescribed. There is no way this could have been predicted which is why it is so important to be with someone the first 24 hours after the operation.
I only required one pain pill during the entire healing period. The area of my stitches was tender when touched, but did not need to be touched. The aftercare was simple and easily accomplished especially after the first 2 days. The doctor saw me one week after the operation to assess the healing. However, I was given his mobile phone number and personal e-mail address on the day of the surgery. I did use both once and he was very quick to respond.
I love the results. My cheek wrinkles are almost gone and my skin is vibrant.
