Hate Dr. Almonte for skillfully sculpting this way...

Hate Dr. Almonte for skillfully sculpting this way. At 53yo I had a face, neck and eyebrow lift; all under local anesthesia. Local is a pro which sets this great surgeon apart from the rest. I'm a Nurse and was concerned for the risks associated with general or twilight. He took 20yrs off. 'Counterfeit Youth" has been restored.

I wish I was brave enough to do a local. The creep factor is just too high and valium makes me hyper. Being a nurse probably helped you. Looks great

Do you have any before photos?

Yes, but I'm too embarrassed to post. LOL. I didn't sign the consent form, either. At 53yo things were getting pretty bad.

You truly shouldn't be embarrassed!

What kind of brow lift did you have under local? Thought the longer lasting types really needed something "stronger".

It was as if the chin had disintegrated. Now, I've a well-defined jawline.

You look fabulous. Any close up pics of scarring? Any minor complications or tips from your experience ?

Thank you! After the eyebrow lift I had a severe headache. I was home, and took 2 Norco after having a smoothie. My stomach is very sensitive and I started vomiting. Had to go to ER for IV Morphine and Anti-nausea medicine. Couldn't tolerate anything by mouth. That is the risk of not having an IV access. I was alone, so may have panicked more than if I'd help. Surgery is certainly a challenge, but well worth it. If you take oral medication, make sure you have food in your stomach. Ultram and Zofran were prescribed in the ER. I did very well on these drugs. Smooth sailing after this episode. This side view picture is from a week after surgery. The scar is hidden in my hairline and after applying a good gel, it has almost vanished. A shower chair is helpful as well as a cushion for your bed so you can sleep upright.

This photo was a week after surgery. I was very swollen. Wanted to show the incison.

Applied a scar gel and 7 weeks post-op it is barely visible. It's well hidden in the hair line. It does help to have hair.

Wow you look great!! How was your recovery? If I’m planning to come from out of state, how many days will I need to wait to fly back home?
