Microblading/Ombre Powder Brows - NO Pigment After 10 Days

I got "combo" brows (microblading at the front of brow and ombre poweder shading throughout the rest) about 10 days ago. They looked amazing for 4 days, then started scabbing. The majority of the scabs have naturally fallen off in big chunks and now I'm left with literally zero pigment and what looks like pink, brow shaped scars. Is this normal? I know they say the pigment fades out around this time and magically reappears, but is it really realistic for color to reappear when there is no color at all showing now? My brows are pretty important to me, as they are super blonde and my hair is super dark, so I rely on them to make me look like a normal human being. Not to mention the $550 I spent to have this done... I have a touch up appointment in 5 weeks, but am questioning the validity of my stylist at this point.

I hope so! Because I’m on day 6 and mine are scabbing too! And will probably look like his in a few days

The same exact thing happened to me!!! I got them done the 1st of April and a majority of the pigment has come off (5 days later). I text my eyebrow person asking if this is normal. She stated yes and to not overly exercise or use oil products. At first I thought my skin was rejecting the ink. I have a touch up in 4 weeks, I am hoping all of it doesn't fall off by then. I paid around the same price!! I loved them the first day and expected them to stay like that but I am experiencing things I didn't expect. I now pat dry them because I am scared more of the ink will come off.

How do yours look now? My artist also told me it’s normal...when clearly it’s not! my touch up is next and I’m dreading it. Are yours reddish?
April 18, 2018
wow!!!! I wish mine came off like yours did! I definitely would consult with another artist before going back to the same person/business. The red is concerning. I had red come through and I was because the artist I went to did not color test or use the right color for my skin tone. so I have a red tint in the front of my eyebrows and dark brown on the rest. I started my microblading/microshading in September 2017 and wish I never trusted the artist to get the touch up!!! because now I’m going to multiple consultations with plastic surgeons for laser removal. and other artists that are not able to fix them. So go with your gut feeling! good luck!

Oh wow that’s terrifying!!! I’m sorry! I honestly wish I never would’ve gone thru with this whole process because it’s proven to be much more of a pain than anything else. My artist didn’t do a color test either. I’m just so confused about the color because it looks red like kinda raw and not like red pigment. But it appears to be healed, so I have no clue. My touch ups next week and I’m NOT excited.

I went to another artist in January and she covered some of the red and removed some stray lines:( with the saline removal. but No your pigment should NOT be red at all!!!!! I have consulted two artists and a Dermatologist and Plastic Surgeon and laser tech. it is due to the pigment that was not used properly for your skin tone! My suggestion is go to someone else or let them fade naturally. check my photos and review out it may help:)

I didn't do your procedure, however in the healing process the skin grows over your wound a tad. This tends to make the colot look as tho it has disappeared. Hopefully if done correctly it will be back totally in about 10 days.

How do they look now?

they look the same. still no pigment, just red. i text my technician and she said the pigment should "reappear" in 3-5 days...well, that was 7 days ago :|

Don't worry, if it doesn't resurface to the color you are expecting, you can discuss with your technician to use a darker pigment.
My only concern is your aftercare. It looks like you did a "dry healing" which no ointment is used. That may be why so much pigment came out. If you want to check my work, Instagram is @bodybrowbar

thanks for the advice! i checked out your IG, your work is so amazing! i wish there was someone in my area that did as well and has as much experience as you. yes, i was advised to do a dry heal, but once the scabbing got bad, i used coconut oil on them a few times, around days 5-10. my tech informed me that dry healing usually yielded the best results when it came to pigment retention :| do you think the red-ish tone is from the pigment? i assumed it was just because they were healing/scaring.

Day 20

Not much has changed since my last update. I'm trying to figure out if the redish tone I'm seeing is from healing/scaring or if that's the color the pigment turned in my skin. I was told she was using medium brown (even though I requested dark), so I don't know how/why it would appear red. I text my technician photos and she told me the pigment should "reappear" in about 3-5 days...but that was 7 days ago and they still look the same. She did tell me I could start filling them in lately with powder, so I've been doing that so I don't have to go to work with red Satan eyebrows. Feeling pretty discouraged about this whole process right now!

I don't understand how the pigment magically reappears?? A majority of the ink has come off for mine and I am also worried. I'll keep an update on how mine do!! I have very oily skin so I am thinking that has contributed to my ink coming off.

I have oily skin to.
Ik think that when healing, New skin appears over the ink and that makes them Go away. When skin is healed its shines True the ink. I needed a second round. But now it looks waauw. Beter less and Go back than make someone pul the ink out when to mutch. If you Goedenacht back you can tell her what you Need her to do.... how you want it.

I was just wondering if you went in for your touch up and what the final result was?
July 1, 2018
I’m nervous now! I got microblading/ombré brows done five days ago! I’m at the peel off stage now! It doesn’t seem red but I barely see pigment under! Post an update! I’m curious to see how it ended up after touch up!
March 2, 2019
Hi I’m on Day 13 and I’m in the same boat. Did you get a touch up and how does it look? I got ombre shading and not Microblading, but I literally have red flushed skin and no pigment.
March 2, 2019
It’s been almost 7 myths since I got my ombré shading. I did have that time part where it looked like no pigment took hold. After the first couple of weeks it started to show. After the first touch up there was more pigment. I do have to mention I have really oily skin and I do feel like I already need a retouch but other than that I love the shape and color!

Hello! I’m very curious how your brows turned out? I have the EXACT same thing, and you are the first person I’ve come across that also had this happen. My one eye also is still tender/feels slightly sunburnt feeling after 3 weeks. I have slight swelling every once in a while when it gets irritated (no infection as per my doc) I’m worried that the brown has faded and all I am left with is pink scars.

I also have oily skin.
