34D to my Natural Self -Rogers, AR

UPDATED FROM oceandaze
3 months post

It's been 3 months since my explant

WORTH IT
It has been 3 months since the explant of my size 34 D.

I don't like them this small. I have gained weight and gone up 2 pant sizes, but for me, the idea that women gain weight in your boobs first, is not true. I have an appointment to see Dr. Elkins on the 25th to see what he can do for me. I know that I don't want to have a fat transfer, yet I am concerned about how well another set will do.

I have been working out to build my chest and arm muscles, so that if I decide to go ahead with another set I may be able to carry them better

They are shaping up alright. Can't post a pic today and will try to soon. I still can't fill up an A cup like I did before implants, which is difficult for me.

I know what I want but I am scared at the same time. I guess it will take some more thought and input from Dr. Elkins and maybe this time we can get a better outcome and understanding of what should happen based on what's best for my body.

I'll update you again soon... :)

Dr. Elkins is really easy going and laid back- a great man, clean office and a PA great environment. But I don' think I would say he's a top PA. He'll give you what you want and tell you what you want to hear- and in my case this was for breast augmentation and explant. So I would NOT recommend him if you are looking for a very professional PA or want what's truly best for your body.

You look great! I'm suffering from CC as well, super uncomfortable! What incision was used for the removal? Thanks!
I had an incision under the breast, on the outer rim. It now lies on my ribs, but still seems hidden most of the time. Are you going to explant or replace yours?
Good to know, thank you :). Explanting for sure!

When I had my 475cc implants inserted through the navel in 2011, I was really excited. It all sounded really great and I thought my body wouldn't give me any problems or that they wouldn't be inserted incorrectly. To this day I am still not sure what all caused my "problems."

After I had them inserted a year later I had a CC. My PA popped that and then it continued to get worse the following year. It looked like it had fallen and was all stretched out on the left side.

A second opinion PA told me that they were inserted wrong- one sub-muscular and the other on top, while my original PA said that the muscle didn't hold my implant in place. I believe when he popped my CC that the muscle/tissue could have torn. But I don't know.

So I decided with the support of my hubby to have them removed because of discomfort and quite frankly an awful physical appearance.

I am in the process of healing from 3 weeks ago and I would take it back, except for the fact I am slightly smaller than I was before implants. (I'm not even filling an A cup anymore)

My plan right now is to heal, gain some weight, build muscle and consider options in the future.

If you have any questions about my process just holla!

Well you certainly look much better and they looked painful. You must be soo relieved to have them out!!
Things do get better and I know you've got to be more comfortable Oceandaze! The picture of you with the bra on made me think of my first bra post explant, looked pretty good with clothes on but I didn't come close to filling out the top portion :) I have since filed out a bit and found a bra that "gathers" up the small amount of breast tissue I have and gives me a bit of cleavage. Being thin adds to the lack of breast tissue, I'm 5 ft 7" and weigh 128 lbs, I'm trying to gain some of my weight back hoping it will go directly to my boobs ;) We'll see! The scooped out area in the center of my breasts is starting to fill in finally and I'm close to 3 months out. Everything is improving with time and it will for you too!! :)
This is so encouraging! You have no idea...Gaining weight is exactly what I think will help me too and it's great to hear that you have had a positive experience with explanting.
I'm finding it hard to gain, my diet is very restrictive but I've gained 5 of the 20 I lost. I'd love to gain 10 more, then I'd be happy :) Keep in touch and let me know if you have any question or concerns. If you don't mind me asking, what age group are you in?
I'm 21. What type of food do you eat to gain weight then? I was 106 after the implants were taken out which has been consistent all most my life, I've never eaten a lot of carbs or meats. I know that I should aim for about 125 min. to look healthier. So what I have been eating are protein shakes, lots of various sandwiches and really just eating til I can't, so I can gain it quick but with healthy foods like peanut butter, eggs & tuna.
I'm gluten, dairy, beef and pork free by necessity. It's been 13 years now. I make pretty much everything from scratch, lots of rice, veggies, fish, chicken and fruit. I make a killer fruit smoothie with sprirutein protein powder, usually have that at least once a day. I make gluten free brownies, pizza and pancakes if I have an attack of the old sweet tooth :) I really have to graze all day to keep the weight on. I drink lots of water, juice and I love Izzy soda too. At least my appetite has returned, it had disappeared for about a year and that's when I went from 148 lbs. down to 123 at my lowest which doesn't do an old gal any favors....believe me! I look younger when my weight is up!

Thanks for sharing your story and photos! I like your look better without explants, but I can understand the adjustment it must take to see them so different. If you still dislike them after you gain some weight and they heal a bit, you might think about a lift and/or fat transfer.

Please keep us posted!

Congrats! You look wonderful!! aka lil Hoots
Thank you!
Such an improvement after the explant. You look great!
Thanks I feel much better too! It was so uncomfortable on the left side.
It is such a relief for me not to have to lug about that extra weight, and they are so out of place on smaller frames too. Well done!!
