So I went to the mall today. I must say trying on clothes was exciting(it use to be depressing). I have so many more Options and this is just the beginning.

Drain removal

User Avatar
Mom of 3 I am she
Ok so I just got my drain out today. All I can say is OUCHHHHH. That was painful. Did not realize that it went all the way across my abdomen. Probably the most discomfort (for me ) through this entire process. The tummy tuck pain was very tolerable. I am so happy that I only had one drain

I am getting both of mine removed Thursday. I think I will take the full dose of pain meds before the appointment! Your progress is looking great!

Thank you. The pain is unexplainable. It was just weird. It's a real quick process coming out. As I said I'm glad that I only had one. If I would have had another to be removed it would've taken longer for me to allow how to remove it now that I know what to expect.

I'm trying to plan for my recovery, how many days would you suggest I have someone stay with me and my 3 kids ages 9,4, and 2 after surgery? I'm also going to have muscel repair. It's tuff to plan, and I want to be prepared.

I would say around 2 weeks. I'm at my two week mark today. My drain was removed yesterday. I thought I was hot stuff. I went to kohls stayed out a little, was picking my 11 month old son up a lot, did some laundry and slept in the bed for the first time and I'm suffering this morning. My whole body ache. My children are 6,4 and 11months. The older two are helpful. My husband still drop them off and pick them up from camp. My mother and mother in law still come over to help with the kids . I think after a few more days I could handle them alone. I just need breaks after standing for long periods.
