This group and your posts have saved me, so I'm taking the opportunity to write my experience in case I'm able to help anyone else searching for answers.
It seems that those who are happiest with their microblading are those who received exactly what they were expecting. My technician did not listen to me when I kept telling him that his stencil was drawn too thick! He kept convincing me that he'd etch inside the stencil so my eyebrows wouldn't look huge, and that when he was done that they'd look normal.
Wrong!! I looked like a freak when I walked out of there!
On Day 2, I woke up in a panic because I have a high level job interview in a week! I need to look normal by next Monday!
So, I read all of the posts on here as to how to remove the ink or fade the ink thst he etched in above and below my natural brow line.
I first, took a needle-nose pair of tweezers and reopened the etch lines above and the etch lines below of where I want my eyebrows to be. I literally scraped out the ink that embedded within those grooves. I bled heavily, and really tried using asceptic technique so that I won't develop an infection. (I'm am an RN...i wouldn't try this, but feeling desperate, resorted to drastic measures.) Once picked out as much ink as I could, I took a q-tip and used my make-up remover to rub in the grooves.
I then, made up a hydrogen peroxide and baking soda paste mixture and used my clean stiff eye shadow brush to brush on the paste in only the area's I want the ink to be gone. This burned so badly, but at this point I'm still feeling desperate!! I left the paste on for 10 mins. I gently washed off the paste with hydrogen peroxide on a cotton ball. I took a q-tip and then covered my entire area ... eyebrows, sores, and all with a generous amount of neosporin and covered the entire area with sterile gauze and tape it in place.
I did not read up before my microblading about the psychologic impact that this procedure would have! I postponed celebrating my son's 28th birthday with my grown (30 yr old) daughter because I didn't want anyone seeing me... even them! I'm staying home by myself for Thanksgiving because of the same reason!!!! I need to go to the grocery store, but I am afraid of being seen!!! It's absolutely a horrible feeling!! Feeling very depressed.
It is now Day 3. The big reveal. I took the gauze off and gently reapplied more Neosporin and covered again with gauze to speed up the healing process. I took pictures.
See pictures from Day 1 to Day 3. My eyebrows definitely look better now that the shape mirrors my expectations!! I think the key is to really make sure the technician draws the stencil to your liking, and if/when they argue with you or try to convince you otherwise... know that it is your face, and your outcome that you are seeking... not their best artwork that they think looks good.
More to come... I know the recommendation is not to cover with gauze... anyone else think this will have any adverse effects by covering? At this point, my goal is expedited healing.
Thanks so much for this group!

I was going to do it and the tech drew the eyebrows too thick. I told her before we started that I wanted my same eyebrow shape, just filled in, and add the "tail" that was almost nonexistent. I looked at what she drew and said, no, this is too thick. It was drawn above my natural brow and practically no arch & not long enough. She adjusted it a tad, but was still not what I wanted. She said what she drew was what she was taught and wouldn't do what I wanted. I paid for a consultation and left. I am sure glad I didn't do it. It seems like many people are unhappy with it because the techs insist on making the brows too thick!

This is the exact reason I decided to invest in the art of microblading. My boss had hers done and the "artist" plucked half her brows off. That's not what she wanted. She wanted it as natural to her brow as possible. She had to cut bangs to hide her brows. Then I started penciling them in to help fix her brows. That lead to me filling in lots of brows. There is only one "artist in my town. You can tell who has gone to her as they all have the same brow. I wanted to give women what they want. I give my suggestion but let them make all the changes they want. I really have to not care what others think of my work because it's always about what the client loves and feels beautiful with

Good to know and good strategy to tell her up front! Once I heal, I'll go back for correction...and let him know he screwed up the first go around!

Infection set in

Day 4. I'm leaving the urgent care clinic now with an antibiotic. I developed cellulitis. ????
Definitely walk out if the stencil is not drawn to your liking. Kudos to Roselle for walking out. Thank you Blondie ... I'm not feeling so brave today ... definitely hoping they settle down!
What was I thinking! I'm feeling so down on myself.

Back to the doc again tomorrow
initanurseNovember 28, 2017
I have a follow up appointment tomorrow. Going to ask if there's anything else I can do to expedite healing. I had my job interview this afternoon. I looked a little too made up (with makeup)... but needed to cover up the redness and patchiness of my eyebrows. I'm posting pictures with and without makeup. I'm definitely thankful that I can leave the house again (with makeup on)... I'll venture to the doc's without makeup so she can fully assess what's going on! Hang in there those in week 1. This entire process definitely humbled me. Staying home all week was something I truly wasn't prepared for... and the deep grooves over my eyebrows...I'm hoping my skin fills in without scarring.

Doctor said to take lots of vitamins, esp. Vitamin E to promote healing. She said to apply cocoa butter cream and scar treatment (i.e. mederma)...and to cover it with gauze at night when I sleep. She said sunblock if I'm going outside. She changed my antibiotic from Augmentin to Cipro. She also said time. I'll keep you posted.
They look so much better I bet they look great when they settle down.
