WORTH IT$1,500
I wanted a "new" face so I decided on a fractional or "pixilated" carbon dioxide (CO2) laser treatment. I was told it was painful and was shown pictures of other patients who had done it, they looked awful! One woman looked like she had run from a burning building! Face was swollen and red (like burns-which is basically what they do-burn your old skin off) and eyes were just slits in her face! Then I saw the before and after pictures and decided it would be worth it. What the hell, we women can do anything to look beautiful...right? I could get the laser and the the threadlift as a package for $1,500 each. OMG! They can only do a topical anesthetic and a valium to relax you. The pain was awful for about an hour, tears were rolling out of my eyes and fists clenched...yeah we women can do anything! I would not recommend this procedure for anyone...too much pain and you don't want anyone to see you for at least 2 or 3 weeks. It has now been 3 weeks and you can still see the squares that the dr. made with the laser. The skin looks good and tight, itches like hell, which means it is healing. I am sure I will be happy with the results, but I would never do it again! I also just had the threadlift, which was a breeze after the CO2. Several syringes of anesthetic into the face was painful, but like going to the dentist...you know it would hurt without it! No feeling except a little tug on the skin, took about 45 min. Afterwards , skin feels tight with a little swelling and hardly noticeable bruising. It has been 1 week now and I am itching, but skin looks good!
