I've had 3 children and grandmother of 8. I've always been very physically active and been able to keep my weight in control. Gradually over the years I've gone from 140 to 160. The last 2 years I've been on anti depresents which I believe caused my weight gain. I am unable to get rid of the "tire" I have around my waist! I am so hoping the tt will accomplish this. I am also having a breast reduction.

8 grandkids!!! WOW. Well, congrats to all you've accomplished. I think that tire is there to stay - you'll have to just cut it off like the rest of us! ;) Don't consider it cheating - lol! It's just instant-grat. Take some before pictures and you'll love to compare them later with your after's! Good luck on your MM journey and reading my journey will help you along the way! :)

Thank you so much chiklet3 for your kind words and support. ..I'm starting to get...wet feet....I need this support more than ever! And 3 of our grandchildren are angel babies...born sleeping. .Logan and Jakob full term. Alex was a miscarriage. ..but their still my grandbabies. I did take before photos. .God I hope I don't lose my phone! Looking forward to your posts!

I can so relate to how you feel! I had a TT and BL in August and it was the best decision I ever made. Should have done it years ago! The initial healing was tough but fast. Now it's just the slow healing....continued tightness, occasional discomfort, PM swelling....but oh so worth it! 3 weeks back in the gym and Zumba sounds a bit early - but every PS is different and we all heal at different rates. Just listen to your body and don't overdo. I wish you good luck and happy healing! I know you are excited!

Come on in Nanc74, the "water's" fine. I had my granny takeover September of 2013 at age 64 and I'm loving my new body - although you look pretty good as you are!

Wow! I am SO excited! !! I had a great visit and my p's answered ALL my crazy questions! ! I will only have 2 drains (near my hips) not hanging in my crotch!! 99% dissolving stitches! ! It's okay to go to a resort to "heal" on POD4! ! I should be able to go back to the gym and Zumba in 3 weeks! !!
Let's get this party started! !!!

Looks like we are having similar procedures!! Sooo excited for you!! I am also wondering when I can get back to the gym after surgery...I will miss it (which I never thought I would say LOL!!)

Happy birthday! I had my first abdominal surgery in 1974...I was 19...I can't wait to get rid of the scar!!
