40 Year Old with a Teenager & Grown Son - Little Rock, AR

OMG!!!! I was so nervous this morning. Surgery lasted about 4 hrs. During my wait, I had so many nurses speak so highly of her & her work. I already knew I chose the right surgeon but that was just confirmation. Put a nausea patch behind my ear for the next 72 hrs. IV was started. Dr. Prince came in right after that. She marked me up. They put Versed in my IV. I remember being wheeled toward OR.....OUT!!! I woke up 6 hrs later. They let me sleep off the anesthesia. They changed my binder & emptied my drains. I had soaked it. Putting that joker on was HELL!! Keep the nasty one one lol. 2 nurses put it on me....FATHER GOD. Just imagine you're sore & in pain!! They made up for it...,gave me Morphine & Oxycodone!! Im home in the recliner. I'll keep you ladies up dated!!!! I was so glad to have awoke on this side of heaven!!! Let's all scream together....I MADE IT!!!

I'm nervous & excited!! I've waited a very long time for this! To see my back & stomach flat will bring tears to my eyes but I'm sure it will be the pain first! I plan to take my medicine around the clock. I paid extra for the Exparel. I have a high tolerance for pain so we shall see. I have great ppl around me & im excited!

Met the woman today to purchase a shower chair. Got my walker last week. Got everything for $30. Now all I got to do is set me up a little station by my recliner for medications, water & supplies. Have to clean house b4 my sister gets here next week for a day or two. So glad my 12 y/o daughter will be out of school. I have already started thanking her. I'm getting excited. Tomorrow will be a week...7 days before my surgery!????????
