Belly has to go. No more Spanx, girdles, waist...

Belly has to go. No more Spanx, girdles, waist clinchers just me from now on. Lost any 80 pounds in the last year but the kangaroo pouch just will not leave me be ???????? I would like a flat tummy with a small waist. I can work in the rest myself but the tummy is definitely a motivation killer. Consultation went smooth, I am a great candidate for the tummy tuck, haven't been for test yet as I am 6 weeks pre-op. But I am shopping for items I will need now so that I won't forget our have to wait on anything. Any suggestions from experience that I will need that any of you ladies can think of?

Definitely your shower chair, stool softners and prep for good healthy meals post surgery to help you nurture your body and heal. I'm here as I too, continue onto the the road of recovery! Good luck!

Hey lady, I am following you.

You mention that you were getting a TT only, did he recommended lipo. I thought that lipo of the abdomen was typically done with the TT for a smoother sillouette and the best results.

If you go to the TT forum they will have a list of recommended supplies.
Also, check out tuckthattummy.com, the sight was awesome! I had a lot of information.

Only thing is, I purchased a lot of the supplies that were recommended to find out that my PS did not even suggest those things. If you can be creative in thinking of ways to save money for your supplies or visit a thrift shop. I have a bench in my shower, and have a recliner chair already, so I don't need those things.

As a matter of fact, I may be taking some things back. I bought a female urinal. Everything I found local, and did not have to order anything off of Amazon, oh I did order pre-op and post-op vitamins.

There is a lot of information on here, but the truth is, you don't need all of it, it just depends on your personal preference. I am a minimalist and very practical. If I can make it or repurpose something I will.

Hope this helps.

Thank u, I really appreciate the info. I asked him about the lipo but he said no. Didn't really want it due to all the extra swelling and extra recovery time

Congrats on the weight loss!
Here is what I purchased and actually used:
Walker
Gauze
Tape
Dial antibacterial soap (hand and body...had this everywhere!)
Body wipes until you can shower
Toilet wipes
Arnica, Bromelain, Vit C, Collagen (talk to your PS to see if this is ok)
Lots of fresh fruit fruit, veggies, low sodium broth, Greek yogurt
Foot stool (to get into bed)
Purefit wedge pillow system from Relax the Back.

Good luck to you!

I'm having tt on March 10 :0 One thing you might really appreciate is a potty riser. They are 20 bucks and you can get them at the drugstore or Walmart. I have been told that bending in the first week is difficult and painful. I borrowed a walker. I had a breast reduction 2 years ago and i found that one of those cold pads was really helpful also:) Good luck! I am following your progress! I am kinda worried but excited at the same time! my tt went smoothly. Only glitch was diarrhea from the antibiotics. Pain was tolerable with pain meds, oh but the swelling! The swelling was a mess in the first month. I could walk upright until the swelling set in. Now that i am almost a year PO it is much better, i still swell from time to time but it is nothing like before. Bromalain still helps with the swelling. I used a walker for the first few days and a portable potty but no longer needed or wanted it after

Why has time stopped

Time seems to have stopped!!! I am so ready to get this second stomach off of my body. I have been looking (well obsessively searching,) for aRS review from someone only getting a TT no lipo. I have yet to find one ????so now I'm a little nervous. I have a specific picture in my mind off what I want my body to look like (what my 5600) will have my body looking like. I just wonder if it is achievable without lipo? Guess I'll take my pic in to the ps when I go in for my pre op appointment.

I had a tummy done with no Lipo on Monday. I got a peek at it today at preoperative appointment and my and and sides are very flat I can see definition. I am starting to swell but am still very happy. I had a drainless tummy tuck withexparel.pain has been minimal. Took a shower today on day three no problem. I didn't buy any supplies other than dulcolax. My kindle has kept me company.

Boobs

User Avatar

After seeing all these lovely ladies get their bodies snatched and lifted I decided to Contact my ps to inquire about getting my boobs lifted while under the knife. Nurse said I have to come back in to have another consultation. Don't want implants but don't want to be a member of the itty-bitty [RS bleep] committee either. I am a 38d now want to be a full c after lift. Just wondering if that's possible without implants

I am interested in a lift too. My PS recommended a lift with reduction for best results...but advised it would have to be a second procedure as it would be too many procedures and too lengthy of a surgery. Basically it wasn't safe. I would like my breasts to stand up and be perky without a bra.

So, I feel ya, on the breasts!

If you can get both done at the same time; do it!!! I had a reduction with lift along with the TT and I was told that it would extend the recovery time. To be honest my breasts have been the least of my recovery concerns. Pain level has always been basically nonexistent. I have some discomfort now because I started my cycle but that's usual.
One recovery for pretty perky boobies and a snatched waist? All around yesssss!
