I had dreamed of a tummy tuck for decades after having three pregnancies. I was so wishing of my flabby stretched out belly. It was uncomfortable as well although I learned to accommodate it. But I was afraid and had many excuses. Too busy raising the kids, didn't want to spend the money, husband not supportive, I had gained too much weight etc. When I turned 60 I decided to take charge of my health. I had a different husband, kids were grown, and I had the money. With diet and exercise I lost 50 pounds and cut my medications in half. I maintain for a year. My flabby belly became increasingly uncomfortable with rashes/infections. And I decided I was not going to go on like this any longer. I started researching tummy tuck procedures and doctors. My whole family was supportive of my decision. I am so glad I had it done and my only regret is that I didn't have it done decades ago! It is a major surgery but I found a great doctor and as other reviewer's stated the first four days are the worst and you will need someone with you to help you. I only took half the dose of the narcotic pain pills I was given and stopped them after the 5th day and just took ibuprofen occasionally. I slept in my recliner for the first week.
