Committed to reconstruction after 2 years of surgery, chemo, radiation and healing. It was a difficult decision, having had my fill of Drs and surgeries and treatments. But meeting Dr Vega put me at ease. He was extraordinarily supportive, empathetic and reassuring. Likewise his staff is top notch. It is now 6 weeks later and I couldn't be happier. Recovery was exactly as expected, uncomfortable but tolerable. Steady progress and now I am up and around and have resumed most activities. Mostly, it is nice to have the freedom to wear the clothes that I want, and the ability to run out of the house without prosthetics, adjustments, etc. I feel like a woman again.

Would you mind posting pictures? What type of reconstruction did you have? Thank you

Hi. I am in the same boat with reconstruction problems and questions. Would you mind posting pics ? I feel like it's hard to find women who have had radiation after mastectomy and the way this can limit your recon options. Any more detail or pics of what you had done would be so helpful. Thank you
Hi JBF, thank you for posting! Would you mind posting pics too?
Glad you are on the mend and feeling like yourself. Did you have a single mastectomy? What size did you choose for your implants?
