I've always been very self-conscious of my breasts for different reasons at various stages of my life. As a young adult my breast were small with large areolas. During both pregnancies my breast got very large (which I liked) but immediately after losing baby weight my breast tissue deflated and my breasts were empty. I did a ton of research on surgeons and was attracted to Dr. Vega for many reasons. First, his reviews were outstanding. Before and after pictures were amazing not to mention his professional background was very creditable. After my very first visit with Dr. Vega all my fears and anxiety disappeared and we're replaced with excitement. I'm one month post operative and couldn't be more pleased. This experience has been life changing and I'm so thankful for Dr.Vega!

Welcome to the community and thanks so much for offering your opinion of your doctor.

It would be great if you could give us a little more detail about your experience, like why you had the surgery, your tips for getting good results, pros/cons, and info on the recovery process.

Our community members especially love seeing photos from before, during, and after — a realistic look at what they can expect. Photos grab the attention of the community and encourage more support for you.

As a community manager, I get requests all the time from other members who want me to to keep encouraging people to share their experiences, which are so helpful for others considering these procedures. So please accept this as a well-intentioned request from thousands.

Congratulations on your successful outcome. You sound thrilled with your results, good for you! Can I ask what type of lift and implants you went with?

330cc textured silicone implants. My left breast I had a vertical lift (very thin light vertical scar from bottom of areola downward) and my right breast was "lifted" during areola reduction with no vertical incision. My left breast required more work due to more sagging.

Wow your scars look amazing! What scar treatment did you use? What size/ profile did you get & where did you start from? Hope my healing ends up as good as yours! :)

Thank you. I started as a very small B-cup and choose 330cc textured silicone implants. I am now a full c-cup. About 2 weeks before surgery I started a high protein diet consuming about 80g of protein a day. I heard high protein helps with wound care/healing. About 2.5 weeks after surgery I began using Mederma advanced jel 3x daily on scars (around areolas and along left breast vertical scar). So far I am very pleased with the results. I read using mederma too soon can make scars worse or wider so I made sure Dr. Vega gave me approval first.
Good luck to you!
