I signed up for the "treat to complete package" for my stomach
I signed up for the "treat to complete package" for my stomach, which for me was 2 Sculpsure treatments and 6 venous Legacy skin treatments in between with a total package price of about $2,000. N. is the clinical director and C. is her assistant. I only recieved one SculpSure treatment to my abdomen. The 25 min procedure was so painful (similar to labor). The pain scorched all the way through to my low back. I could hardly walk out of the office. I kept ice on my stomach for the next 48 hours and took tylenol. You are supposed to massage your stomach 5-10min per day. I could barely stand my underwear touching my stomach let alone massage it! I was worried they did something wrong so I began researching the procedure and watched youtube videos of others getting the SculpSure procedure done. They appeared to be in no pain! I could not even speak during the 25 minutes. I can handle a lot of pain, I had 2 vaginal deliveries completely natural. The tech C. seemed nice, but did make a comment to me "don't worry I'll make sure you get a good treatment". I don't know how variable the settings are, but I don't think it was done properly. About two weeks later I recieved a bill for $2000 from a company called HC processing which appeared to be a credit card. This card had a $59 annual fee. If I had known this I would never have signed up for their "payment plan". I called the office and first spoke to C. I told her I wanted the credit card cancelled and I would just pay with one of my regular credit cards that does not have an annual fee because this is not a "payment plan" it is a line of credit. She argued briefly then handed the phone over to N. I told her the same thing and asked why I was never informed that the "payment plan" was actually a line of credit with an annual fee. She told me the $59 annual fee is waived if you sign up for their paperless billing. I knew this was a lie because I had already spoken to HC Processing directly with 2 different people that stated the $59 annual is never waived and is required by everyone who has an account. I then began to question her about why my pre and post-op instructions were sent to me 2 days after my procedure! I had to contacted them twice via both phone and email to get them! I asked her why my stomach still hurts 2 weeks after the procedure! I told her I would not be able to go through the Venous Legacy skin tightening procedures if they were as painful as the Sculpsure. She told me the Venous Legacy is NOT painful. Both she and C. had told me the Legacy treatments WERE painful as they both removed the Sculpsure pads from my stomach. N. had also commented after the procedure "Oh you made it through it". Prior to my procedure I met another client in the lobby who told me the girls at the Birmingham, MI office told her hardly anyone makes it through the SculpSure treatment. When I asked C. this, she laughed and said "no, of course they make it through". I told N. I was not going to do any further treatments because I did not trust them. I asked to be billed for the one procedure I had done and to cancel the line of credit through HC processing. She told me " I can't do that, I will have to call regional for that". I have heard nothing back from Nicole. I have tried to contact the corporate offices in Farmington three times now. The first call to corporate I was told someone would contact me within 24-48 hours. Five days later I called back again and spoke with Sh. She asked me "are you sure no one contacted you , maybe you missed the call" and "are you sure you had the correct number" I told Sh. my problem. She told me she would send this issue to her manager and I would get a callback within 24 hours. Of course I heard nothing back and called the next day after the 24 hour period. Sh. answered again and was very rude this time. She told me they have 48 hours to call me back. I argued that was not what she told me the day before. It has now been nine days and no one has called me back from the Rochester office or from corporate. I don't know if this is common for 888 numbers, but everytime I dial the main corporate number it switches to another completely different number??? I have already reported Light Rx to the BBB. I plan to file a complaint with MI.gov consumer complaint division and dispute through HC Processing. I will keep you all updated. In the meantime spread the word: DO NOT GO TO LIGHT RX. They will charge you for procedures that do not work or procedures you have not even had. Go somewhere where there is a doctor who can monitor your progress and that determines the settings of the machines.
