I was always happy with what I saw down there...

I was always happy with what I saw down there before I had children. Then after all the swelling from those two wonderful moments subsided and I was left a bit long in the labia. The unhooding I also had done was for looks because my doctor didn't want too much to hang over my reduced labia. I worked with this doctor in some of his worst times and knew him to be very logical and cool headed should problem arise. Not everyone is this lucky. When researching doctors in the area to find who had information. This doctor was the only one. But ladies...always call around to other offices of interest. It's also a good idea to find a plastics doctor who has reconstructive experience and/or GYN experience. Don't forget board certified! I have added photos and will continue to do so as I recover. Please ask anything you would like. There is no wrong answer:)

no longer a happy camper

I wish I could say this was the best idea I've ever had but it isn't...after four weeks of healing I have discovered just how poor my outcome is. It's upset me of the sight of my lady purse so much I contacted a specialist about my concerns and was told there isn't enough tissue left to consider revision. I really did end up with a labia amputation not a reduction and my hood is crooked and has left me exposed. The bottom of my vaginal opening looks like it's been left undone and I don't even feel comfortable showing anyone of my girlfriends what's been done...so upset and not sure what to do from here

My dr didnt agree to reduce the clitrol hood although i had a full clitrol hood he said its almost normal and that men find it sexy. He said if itsnt so enlarged u shouldnt go near it. U didnt need clitrol hood reduction i feel so sorry 4 u:( the goid news u can get a revision even if there is not much tissues left many drs do it and it turns out great do not worry u will be fine.

I recommend dr.alter

I have seen him work wonders as well but for the foreseeable future it isn't cost effective for me ...but I'll be keeping it in my long term plans:)

You look to have had a Trim surgery. It doesn't look that bad for a Trim. They can be much worse.

Oh I know they can be far worse but this is far from where it should have been per my discussion with the doctor and not a lot of hope in anyone wanting to fix it so far. But I am on the hunt. I paid for a service and for the price I got shame. That's something I've never had about my lady bits before ( shame in showing it off) yes I wasn't a fan of it before but it never gave me pause

I'm so sorry you are unhappy. Have you contacted your original doctor yet to let him know you are unsatisfied? I still think you look great, but I can understand how you would be upset and I might be too if I were you.
I think the best thing to do is try to save up the 10 k (yikes, but worth it!) for a reconstruction from Alter. Some of the reconstructions I see from him look more beautiful than the girls that had it done right the first time! I think there is still hope for you and I hope you aren't too down about this. Hugs!

I have voiced some concerns to him yes and am about to send a letter to his office about why I will not be coming back. I have also reached out legally about what my options are so maybe I won't have so much cost to worry about. Especially because I was put under without the benefit of seeing a final marking. I feel this may not have happened otherwise at least I hope not. Thank you for your support:)

Huh, is it common practice to see a marking before going under? I didn't have that either
August 20, 2014
Yes it is common so that both can agree on the appropriate action plan and know that it is fully understood. I've seen other work this doctor has done and feel I would have had a pleasant outcome had he put safeguards in place as I've seen with other surgeons.

Btw I check out your photos and yours really looks fabulous! I could be happy if my hood covered well like yours does!

Well I've heard back from a team of reconstructive surgeons in Atlanta. They don't believe there is enough tissue left to fix this and cannot recommend further action at this time ..back to the drawing board
