2 Children, 100 pound weight loss, excess skin. Riverside, CA
I've been trying to get online to update this review, but something always seems to get in the way; however, Dr. Ku did such a good job, I really want to give him a proper review.
I made the decision to have a TT after seeing the results of a friend. I went in to consult with Dr. Ku and was immediately put at ease. He acknowledged my small frame and asked why I wanted to have this surgery. At the time, no one knew how much extra skin I had. I hid it very well and could have probably continued to hide the skin, but it bothered me, especially after working so hard to get my pregnancy and thyroid complication weight off.
After Dr. Ku examined me further, he too could see that I had a considerable amount of excess skin around or beneath my abdomen. He suggested I have a TT, with muscle repair and liposuction to my waist. I wasn't sure about the liposuction and Dr. Ku was not pushy at all. He informed me that the TT would take away the excess skin, but the lipo would add in making things come together. My husband and I discussed whether I should do the lipo and we both agreed that it probably was necessary. After consulting with Dr. Ku, my husband and I went to speak with his awesome patient coordinator to discuss price and schedule my actual surgery. The process was painless besides shelling out the money to pay for it.
I had my surgery on the November 19th, 2015 and was really put at ease by Dr. Ku and his anesthesiologist. Coming out of surgery was a blur. I remember getting home and being in a ton of pain, but that was because I just had surgery and was not staying ahead of the pain. After that initial day, my pain was what I would consider normal.
I returned to Dr. Ku's office about 5 days after surgery and he removed on of the drains. I was allowed to look at my stomach and I nearly cried. I could not believe how good it looked after such a short amount of time. I was swollen, but even through that, I could see such a great improvement. I went to see Dr. Ku after that at 2 weeks, 4 weeks, and then 3 months I believe. I must say that throughout this ordeal, I always felt that Dr. Ku had my best interest at heart. There was a moment in the beginning where I thought one side of my stomach looked off. I contacted his office over the weekend and the patient coordinator immediately got in contact with me. I was able to send her pictures and then hear back from Dr. Ku that he did not feel I should be worried along with the opportunity to come in to see him. I honestly was not expecting such care over a weekend, but I got it.
I returned to doing yoga at the 3 month mark and didn't really go full force until the 4 month mark. Presently, I feel like this was one of the best decisions I ever made. I went back and forth on if it was selfish or self-centered, but I really feel like I did something for myself that I wanted and the pain, money, and time spent was truly worth it. If you're considering doing this procedure, please consult with Dr. Ku. I tell all my friends about him because I really do trust this man and am incredibly thankful for what he did for me.

I decided to get a tummy tuck after losing a considerable amount of weight and keeping it off. I had excess skin and no matter how hard I worked, it would not go away. A friend of mine had a tummy tuck and I really liked her results, so I decided to consult with her surgeon. I made one of the best decisions.
