I have wanted this treatment for 20 years and never had the opportunity..up until now.. I came to the Real self site and got ALOT of good and useful information regarding the procedure. I had the C02RE ablative facial resurface with 2 passes.. After 2 Valium, (necessary) - 28 shots and 3 hours I was done. I took alot of photos -

Looking good at day 8! How's it going now? Hope you notice some good results, it took me around 6 months to get the most noticeable results but my treatment wasnt as deep as yours

Hey ladies - I have not come back to this site for a while - I re read my post and it sounded more brutal than it was looking back... - I will say - I LOVE MY SKIN NOW!!!!
I am so very pleased I did this - the whole procedure was worth it.. From beginning to end. I might be going back for some dermabrasion as there are a couple small spots that were deeper. I encourage anyone who suffers as I did - DO THIS FOR YOURSELF.. You're self esteem and confidence level are worth it!!! I would do it again!!! And shoot... I just might - fractional or micro dermabrasion - that is what I am considering in a couple months anyhow! I stay out of the sun and make sure I stick to one regimen as I have found when I change the routine - my skin reacts to it. I feel much better about myself! Thank you Dr Hardesty, Deborah and LIz & Stacy!!!

Wow what a difference good to see the before and after photos.i was thinking about having the treatment but worried about downtime with having to work.

God Bless you for this comment .. i have been looking for soomeone to talk to regarding this matter , i have active acne as well .. and its just getting worse and worse , i got to the point of quieting my job and not wanting to look for another and not wearing make up .. and NOT EVEN GOING OUT , i dont even go to see family anymore , my Grandpa has been hospitalised and i did not go to see him , coz i cant show my face to the world , my husband is emotionally suffering with me too .. i cant help but feeling sorry for him .
i have tried Roaccutane for 3 years and every time i stop it the Acne comes back again , then i have tried Millions of Creams and ointments , then i tried Facials , then Spectra Laser .. noting has worked .. and am getting depressed more and more .. in fact Right NOW i have more than 20 pages at 1:22 am looking for a Solution until i came across your pictures and your story .

Have you tried any dietary changes? The only thing that cleared my acne was eliminating all dairy from my diet. I'm also on 150 mg of spironolactone. Best.

I would go for the laser my friend!! It was trying - I will not lie.. Three months of funky colored skin was all it took and I will say - NOTHING has given me the security of showing my face - make or not - I love my skin!! I encourage it!! It is well worth 3 months recovery..

3 months? Yikes! That's a lot longer than I planned for. Could makeup cover the redness?

I went back to work a week after - stayed out of the sun and kept a good regimen!!! If your work can handle it for a few months of tomato red... go for it!!

You look gorgeous. I have your old skin. Somewhat fewer scars. But have extra lines above lips as well as 11's.
