Finally Excited to Be my Age After Labiaplasty - Ridgewood, NJ

This is a procedure I've been considering, without even having known the name of it, since I was about a first year high school. So although I'm only in my early twenties, it's something I've wanted for years and only recently could save up for. Some background: I would say this was just as much about comfort as it was appearance. My labia length made every day uncomfortable. Wearing jeans or tight clothing was irritating and trying to work out made it worse. This is a body part that shouldn't be thought about often throughout the day but for me it was. It was also obviously an embarrassing area for me. What started as embarrassing changing for gym class or wearing a bathing suit progressed into horrible insecurity in romantic relationships / intimate encounters.

Although local and general anesthesia were offered, I ended up going with local and am so happy I did. I'm generally a pretty nervous person, so I was hesitant to go through the whole procedure while awake but I felt NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. It was remarkable.

Post op was also not at all like I was expecting. The same day recovery was most uncomfortable, but I was never in any sort of intolerable pain. I sat and relaxed for 4 days before returning to work (procedure was Friday so I only had to take off two days from work and I utilized the weekend). Slow and steady, but within a week I had almost forgotten the procedure had been done in terms of what I was limited to.

A month out, there is only minor swelling left and I'm so excited to see the final results within the next few months. Best decision ever made and so happy I did it with Dr Ganchi!
