Eyebrows. Richmond, AU

I have just read some VERY negative reviews about Caroline Magnion, owner of the Dermal Institute, Richmond Vic. I couldn't agree more about her inability to listen. She tells you what you want to hear and then does a 'one size fits all' treatment. She tattooed my eyebrows and they were SHOCKING!!! We discussed before hand the most suitable look for me and then effortlessly she went ahead and did precisely the opposite. Instead of ash blonde I came away with freaky uneven black eyebrows. Afterwards, when I asked her about the healing process and how the eyebrows would ultimately appear, she told me what I wanted to hear. She was entirely WRONG. However, 3 months down the track, I have discovered that if I apply my foundation over my eyebrows the end result is terrific - no thanks to Caroline. Without foundation I still look like a freak. Nevertheless it now takes minutes to get ready in the morning which is great. My advice, should you choose to go to Caroline, is to read up before hand and do not be cajoled by her apparent superior knowledge on your chosen procedure. For example, when she and I were choosing colours for my brows she produced black. I queried this choice and she assured me the colour was actually ash blonde. Everything inside me screamed 'WRONG' but her 'professional (I know it all) manner' lulled me into believing she must know what she is doing. Wrong again. I wish I could have challenged her and 'stuck to my guns' about the colour choice but let's face it when you are apprehensive, in a vulnerable position and moments away from an eyebrow tattoo common sense evaporates. Her costs are so much less that anywhere else so I guess what I am saying is IF you do use Caroline's services be prepared!!!! Learn all about the procedure you are undertaking and be confident about telling Caroline what you want. Do not be swayed by her dulcet tones. May I also add that once you provide Caroline with your knowledgeable take on the procedure, without blinking an eyelid, she adopts your strategy or thoughts on the matter as if they were her own. Finally, for tattooing, Caroline uses an anesthetic cream that is left on for minutes not the 30 minutes or hour that I have now read is the appropriate time for effective pain reduction. Avail yourself of her services if your budget dictates BUT be warned and prepared.
