So I finally took the plunge. I scheduled my surgery. After stalking the internet, looking at thousands upon thousands of before and after photos, I scheduled my 1st consultation in April 2013 followed by a 2nd consult in May. My biggest concerns are my stomach and boobs. I ultimately decided to go for the TT with lipo and put the BA (full lift and implants needed) on hold for now. I decided to go with the 2nd PS for many reasons. First and foremost, the surgery will take place in a reputable hospital where I will spend the night post-op. Just as important, the PS I chose has impressive credentials, beautiful before and after pictures, and a warm demeanor. He is 1 1/2 hours away, but I decided the inconvenience of traveling back and forth for pre-op/post-op visits will be worth it. I have been overweight my entire life and have become comfortable with the fact that I will never be skinny. I am 5'3" and currently weigh 184lbs. I recently lost 20lbs and continue to work on more weightloss. I am on a very healthy structured diet and hope to drop another 15lbs between now and my surgery date. I am a proud mom of 2 beautiful children (ages 15 & 8), both born via c-section. My first was an emergency c-section under general anesthesia (quite a traumatic experience to say the least) and the second was a planned c-section (though things didn't go as "planned" lol). Soooooo, here I am, tempting fate. I can't help but worry about complications given my past surgery experiences with the births of my kids. I am educating myself as much as I can (thank you realself) and trying to think positive that things will go without a hitch. Bottom line: loose the pouch, flatten my tummy and give me a waist.

Just thrilled with the experience. Soooo much better than I anticipated. The ps, his pa, the anesthesiologist and the hospital staff all treated me like I was important. No problems coming out of anethesia. Very pleasant experience overall. Ps told my parents that he was really pleased and thoughg I would be pleased with my results. Here are some pictures. Drains really pumping out the fluid at this point. Swollen no doubt.

I will! You know I still have not seen mine!!! Lol. Still covered with the surgical tape- and it doesn't appear it's going anywhere. Lol. All my buddies have seen their incision, I can just see where mine it :( ! But the tape he placed is supposed to make he scar heal nicely. We'll see :). Let me know how youre doing, I can't get on as much, but reply to my comments or blog and it'll push it to my email.

Are you still in the hospital? I spent one night. Have you eaten anything?
August 23, 2013
I was released at noon yesterday (1day post op). I tell ya, I don't know how people do this without a bospital stay. I wasn't allowed to eat anything. I did coax the nurse into a couple of sf popscicles for my reflux. I have eaten since I got home. Yogurt, protein shake, and a slice of apple cinamin swirl pep farm bread

Short and sweet. Doing great. Eating extremely low sodium. Drinking water and decaf iced tea. Output on drains are slowing down. Supposed to call on Friday if output is less than 30 ccs in 24 hour period. Dont think its gonna happen on my right drain and since my Doc is 1:30 minutes away Im not driving just to have one drain removed. I'm very fortunate that neither one has gotten sore..knock on wood. So far, so good!!
