Thank Goodness for Tramadol after my Coolsculpting Procedures! - Richmond, VA

On 30 Nov 12 I had CoolSculpting procedure done on my lower abs and bra back area. Cons: There was a very uncomfortable/bearable feeling for the first 10 minutes. I took deep breaths to get through it. After 10 minutes I was able to take an hour nap for both areas. Once they removed the machine it was a bit painful when she massaged the area and it stung for about 5 minutes. After the procedure my abs was swollen and I was not able to button my pants. I would recommend to wear loose clothing if you want to have the procedure done on your abs and love handles. All day my abs had a numb feeling and no discomfort on my back bra area.

Day 1 and 2: Back bra area no discomfort and no bruises. With my lower abs a little discomfort, abs very swollen and no bruises. I was not able to wear button up pants. Wearing my workout spandex pants felt nice. I was able to go for a 3 mile run with no issues.

Day 3: Back bra area no discomfort and no bruises. The sharp tingling pain on my lower abs were unbearable and could not sleep at all. I was not able to run or exercise

Day 4: No issues with back bra area. Discomfort on my lower abs worsen. I had to go to the hospital and they gave me tramadol. I have been pain free and able to sleep. I wish they gave me tramadol and I would of taken it day 3. The pain on day 3 was horrible!!! I recommend to get a prescription and have it handy as soon as you feel that sharp pain. I am scheduled to have the CoolSculpting procedure done on my love handles and will do it especially since I have tramadol to ease the pain.

I will provide updates!

Day 5: I have been taking tramadol for my sharp intolerable pain on my lower abs for 2 days now. I take it as soon as i get up and right before i go to bed. I have been sleeping like a baby these past few days : )

Day 6: I decided to do my love handles and upper abs. Again thank goodness for tramadol. I still have the same routing of taking it as soon as i get up and before i go to bed. The procedures for both areas were painless and I am happy I did it. Throughout the day I dont feel any discomfort. All areas that i have had the procedures done are still swollen and my upper abs are a bit bruised. I have read many reviews and I have felt the sharp pain that was described with other patients but tramadol has made the experience a painless one. I would not consider doing this with it out and wish it was prescribed to me prior to the procedure.

Day 7: I am still swollen in all areas but I ran this morning without any discomfort. Still taking my morning tramadol and evening dose. I start to feel the tingling sharp pain around 6pm and then take my evening dose of tramadol.

Day 8 and 9: It has been about a week since my procedure on my back bra and lower abs and I must say that I can see a little difference. The swollen is going down and finally can get into my jeans with no discomfort. I am still taking tramadol first thing in the morning. I am feeling the tingling sharp pain around 2pm so I take another tramadol to relieve it. I also take one prior to going to bed. I have had no issues with sleeping and no pain that i initially had. Again thank goodness for tramadol! Few reviews I read that doctors prescribed neurotin for their patients who also had the sharp pain and my doctor said it would take a little while before it would take effect in the system. I recommend not to take neurotin if thats the case. I have no discomfort with my love handles or upper abs (though my upper abs are still a bit bruised). So far I am excited to see the outcome of the procedure. I also have been able to run as usual; except no ab or core workouts.

It has been 3 weeks since I have had my procedures done. I no longer have any discomfort pain and no longer have to take tramadol. Within the last week I have a few episodes of serious internal itch on my abs. i have been rubbing aveeno soothing lotion and it seems to calm it down. I do see a difference. My stomach is no longer swollen and one of pants are a little loose. My doctor told me that I would see the best results in 2 months and I am so excited. I am really happy to have had the procedures done and cant wait for the final results.
