Belly is Shrinking

Let's see, it's been 3 weeks and I can definitely tell my belly is smaller. Not sure if it could be seen in photos yet but I feel it for sure. If it feels this much smaller at three weeks, what will it be like in two months? I'm starting to get excited about this. We'll see.

Everything at the Drs office went smoothly. I'd have liked a pair of scrub pants to wear, even though they'd have gotten wet with the treatment. I felt a bit exposed.

I'm wondering the same thing...if this is pretty much it and we've just been fortunate enough to see results early. Or, if there's even more shrinkage to come. Can anyone please chime in? Should we expect even more shrinkage after 2 months?

I've had 3 Zeltiq coolsculpting sessions, once per year to the same stubborn belly area. My first time was the worst, the first 5 minutes I felt like my tummy was being crushed in an elevator door. The remaining 55 minutes of the treatment was tolerable. It was really freaky to look down and see the frozen, white, brick shaped belly but I guess that means it worked. I had the excruciating shooting pains starting at day 5 and was given gabapentin/neurontin (a prescription medication for nerve pain) to control them, it was the only thing that helped. I used the medication for 3 weeks without any weight gain. By the end of the first month I was seeing results and continued to see positive changes until the 3rd month. I love the results, but I also love carbs in the winter which is the only reason I keep getting treatments. (Also, the medspa I go to gives treatments for half price after the first) Each time it gets easier, so don't be afraid of the pain. If you haven't tried the gabapentin/neurontin, ask for it, it really helps. I've also learned that the technician that applies the device will make a difference in the outcome. If you like what you see, ask for the same tech. Good luck, can't wait to see your pics.

If you haven't already, start using a skin firming moisturizer on your treated areas. I like Nivea Skin Firming with Q10. After my first treatment I actually had little wrinkles in my skin from so much fat loss.

would like an update.... I am in a similar body shape and would love to know how it ended up? Hesitant to spend the money if it doesn't work with bigger bellies... Thanks!

Pain Gone

Mumzee
Ok here's a little update in case anyone is looking. The intense burning and shooting knife-like pains have subsided. They began on the 5th day and lasted about 5 days. Now I'm just slightly sore and will settle down to wait for some visible results. In two months I go back again for a second round and now that I know what I'm in for, I'm not looking forward to it. If I get any results though, for me it will be worth it. The pain I had was far less than surgery would have been. That was never an option for me though.

I'm glad to read that the pain has faded and just in time to enjoy the weekend!

The second time should be much easier. I've had three treatments total, spaced a year apart, and each time was less painful. So glad the pains are gone.

Appreciate Your Support!

Mumzee
Called the doctor and got some pain meds but I think they just make me sleepy. I've just had to deal with it today with no meds and hope it doesn't last much longer. I appreciate the kind support of everyone and will post photos when I start to see results. I am not a thin person and I wanted to share this experience with others who are also not thin so that we can see how well this procedure works and whether it helps with our least favorite problem areas. Right now it's too soon to know whether it will be worth the money and pain. I sure hope it wasn't wasted!
