Motivation was to get teeth fixed to increase self esteem and to smile more. Eliminating the fear of being judged or thinking everyone is looking at my teeth when I speak. I had numerous challenges with getting braces because so many insurance agencies did not cover adult orthodontics. They consider braces as cosmetic and not a necessity for adults. Thankfully I was able to switch my insurance to get proper coverage for braces. I got wisdom teeth taken out on Dec. 28th and braces put on January 4th. It has been painful, long, frustrating at times, but it is so worth it. I'm pleased with the progress.
