Almost 6 mths post op

WORTH IT$10,596
Feeling great. Still quite numb places near my incision and around my belly button.
I love my new body. I still swell daily but I think I'm the only one that notices.
These pics are around 10:30 am
I love shopping for new things for my body type, bathing suits , shirts I no longer need to worry about them clinging to my stomach such an amazing feeling.
I will 100% say it was worth it. The pain, money, recovery. It is a distant memory with living benefits.

You look amazing!!!! I can only imagine my results in a few weeks! Thank you di much for sharing and including pics. I will post my journey soon!
Look forward to seeing yours
how much weight did you loose just from having the procedure? you look amazing
I actually didn't lose much. I went in at 192lbs and now hover between 183-190. Which I'm ok with. Always striving for a healthier me but I'm voluptuous and I'm ok with that.
Also swelling can happen up to a year post op so I think I still retain some fluid at times.
I am trying to loose weight and kept off for a few months so that I can schedule my surgery. but I have so many factors involved I may have to just put it off til2020. I wanted to loose more weight and schedule the surgery bin jan or feb.2019 because we are planning a. ig trip to the Bahamas and id love to be looking fantastic for that. but I am afraid I wouldn't be complete healed by June if surgery is in February. and also, I am a hair stylist and I dont know how much work I would miss and that would also effect my income for vacation. I am sooo tore on what I should do. you are 4 months out now. what is your advise. for work. and for vacation? there will be boating and swimming and snorkeling. and as far as taking time off work. I was hoping no more than 3 weeks and I could start back working at least half days 4-6 hours standing. instead of my normal 10 ???
Ok so as far as vacation. I have been to Vegas 3 mths post op totally fine no prob. I feel heeled I can work out fully now. And feel good.
Working and recovery depends on how much work you get done. I have a hair stylist friend that got a regular tummy tuck. No LiPo not extended and she was working after a week. Not for long days but she was. For me it took 3 weeks not to have to lay on the couch most of the day. I was driving at day 11 the kids to school and such. Was still super uncomfortable. Going over bumps and turns all that felt weird. As it moves your core
And you are hunched over for a good 3-5 weeks. For me I feel it was around 4 weeks that I was pretty much upright.
Also my drains came out one at day 5 one at day 10 I think.
I still swell a bit.
thank you so much for all of your helpful information. I dont even know all of the terminology and procedures. I realize. so I a going to look up regular tummy tuck and then the extended with lipo. thank you!!!! I hope I have as good of results as you do when I am finally able to get this done :)
No worries at all reg vs extended really depends on what your stomach looks like. If you have a skin flap like I did that extends to the sides they need to follow that natural line. Hope that helps. LiPo is liposuction. So if you get that or not.
thank you. what areas did you get lipo.and do you feel that made a big difference vs. not having it?
my flanks so down the sides. she said it would give me a better shape which i agree. if that stubborn fat still there my shape may still be frumpy. I think it all depends on the dr and shape. but the first consult i went to said just extended tummy tuck no ab repair. which i know i would not have been happy with. I had ab , repair, lipo and extended TT.
I think the recovery was harder because of the lipo. since i was bruised for 3-4 weeks with still faint ones up to 6 weeks.
so all in all i would say it made a big difference. i mean there in there anyways i wanted the best result i could.
You look great!!! I am looking at having a TT done as well next year and considered Dr Mosher as well since he does the drainless TT and I'm in Langley...but Dr Watts belly buttons are on point!
Yes ! I think it also depends on what type of belly button you have to begin with. I had a deep inny so I think she had space to suture to. Because they still use the belly button stock you have.
Also from things I have seen with drainless I would be worried more of the incision opening because there is alot of fluid that has to come out or go somewhere.
Also the pain is no joke take the meds. I had tt and LiPo and I tried to come.off the narcotics at day 5 because of the constipation. I was a wreck. Everyone is different but I definitely needed 10-12 days before just having Tylenol and advil.
defiantly get two opinions, i felt dr m was in it ti make the most money not for what was best for me. I think since i had a major inny i had a lot to suture to which totally gave me a great BB
