1 year later!

its been almost a year since my last update! I had a little baby boy March 19th of this year so he will be 9 months old at 3:50am!! I just wanted to share a little about our breastfeeding journey since I had my reduction about 3 1/2 years ago.

We started out great. He latched right away! I was in the hospital for a couple days since I ended up getting a c-section and by the end of my stay my dr said my son had lost a little too much weight so she wanted me to start him supplementing with formula as well as nurse and pump. I didnt/dont make much milk at all so i ended up stopping nursing and just pumped and bottle fed. huge mistake because it took alot to get him to latch back on when i decided to start nursing again. i would nurse him, top him off with a bottle, then pump the rest. all i got when i pumped is drops. i just dont respond to a pump (and many women dont). so i stopped pumping completely and just nursed and bottle fed. when i did pump without nursing i only made about 2oz total when my son took about 4oz.

were still breastfeeding! but now we have slowly gone down to nursing about once or twice a day. lactation supplements and other things never helped with my supply issues so i stopped trying those but im so proud of where we are and how far weve come!

the only issues ive had breastfeeding are just the supply issues but my son hasnt seemed to mind having to drink formula as well. i just wanted to say that every woman is different but it is possible to breastfeed after a reduction. it takes alot of hard work but its definitely worth it! but in the end fed is best <3

ill have to take some more current pictures of my scars and everything during the day to update yall on that later

Can't believe it's been so long!

So new update for yall, im 30 weeks pregnant! My boobs are still great! They haven't grown much (if at all), im still a 38C!

I have 3 questions. First question is has anyone been able to breastfeed successfully after a breast reduction? And what are your experiences?

Second question, have you experienced your nipples becoming really dark (or darker than before) during pregnancy? And did they go back to normal?

Third, the scar on my left side is extremely itchy and hurts to scratch. Is that normal? Possibly from the pregnancy or something?
