Well, I had a hard time believing but I really have continued to see changes! Not huge, but little changes. I still have a tiny bit of swelling at end of day and still get very bloated on top after I eat. But overall I’m really happy! My clothes size didn’t change a great deal but they are so much more
comfortable!

Big difference, but I know what you mean, I also haven't really changed sizes and am struggling with getting rid of a final 10 pounds. I haven't posted recently as there isn't much change, my scar is very red, and my BB scar is rather inflamed. I'll probably have to get cortisone injections but that'll be down the line, nad I'll have my dog ears removed as well. I'll post again after my 6 month post op appointment !

Wow! I see some big changes! I feel like your waist has come in a lot! Also, your incisions are SO THIN - I'm impressed! I still get bloated too - especially with food and exercise. Hoping that changes as more time passes.

Wow, I can definitely see a difference throughout all of your updates, little by little each update the swelling continues to go down and you are starting to get your nice shape from the surgery. Congrats, you must be happy :)

I've been thinking about you and wondering how you are doing since this update. I think a lot of the Nov/Dec girls have stopped posting but I was curious about your progress. Hope you're doing well! :)

10 weeks post op

rparker1985
10 weeks post op and I actually saw a change about two weeks ago! One week my jeans didn’t fit and I swear a week or two later they are too big! I still can get really bloated and I still have a “bump out” on upper belly. BUT, my clothes are so much more comfortable! I’m really happy about that!
Even though I don’t have to wear the CG any more, I find if I go without it even for just a few hours I will get a little sore. Seems strange to still be happening at 10 weeks but it is! My hope is that if I still get sore and swollen things are still changing in there and maybe this will get even better!

It sounds so crazy to say this but 10 weeks it’s still so early. So many things will change all the way up to a year postop. I swear I wore my compression garment forever. I still wear it when I work out and I am almost 8 months postop. You look great!
February 6, 2018
definitely! congrats I am at 6 weeks an have upper belly swelling. love to see your progress, it gives me hope!

I just posted some updated pictures on my
Review. They were taken in the morning when things are much flatter. But still, I see a
big change!

Comparing 2 weeks and 6 weeks

rparker1985
Comparing two weeks and six weeks. I look the same! Other then bruising and scar color. At 2 weeks I sure didn’t think that I would look the same a month later. It’s really hard to believe this is ok...I’m trying not to get freaked out. I’m eating good, drinking my water, taking bromelain and trying to be patient.

Awe sorry to hear you are feeling discouraged. I really saw my swelling decrease around week 7 and 8. In your pics i do see more of a curvy waist line in the 6 week pic. Unfortunately you have to give it the full 6 months to see your final result. Some people just take longer with the swelling. Are you still using compression? At 10 months post op I still get swelling and pull out my binder and put it on. Def helps bring my swelling down some

Oh and I also drank green tea too and that slightly helped
December 23, 2017
I haven't drank ata much lemon water lately, but I have an egg a day, no flour, wheat, limit sugar and salt, nothing possessed, I eat a lot of salads, fruit a d chicken. But I've been eating like this for a few years so it's not a big change for my body. The doc really doesn't think I'm that swollen and he doesn't understand why I can't fit in my jeans....I don't understand either

Ugh I bet it’s even more frustrating that he doesn’t have an answer for you either :/ I’m curious what these next few weeks/months will bring for you. You’re doing everything right though! You have an excellent diet and take good care of yourself so that’s great :)
December 23, 2017
Heavy sigh....I hope I still have some changes to come

I really think you do. Six weeks is still early in recovery to me, so I’m surprised your Dr thinks this is your result. I had so many changes from month to month the first 6 months!
December 24, 2017
really?! that makes me feel better! I’m thinking...my sides and areas of my abdomen are still sore. so if still sore they must be still healing right? if still healing then changes could still happen. sounds logical right?

Yup! Lipo areas take longer to heal for sure!

You definitely look like you still have swelling. Try not to get discouraged! I stopped wearing my binder a couple days ago and my swelling is seriously worse than it was at 2 wpo. I keep forgetting to take an end of day picture to prove it! It sounds like you're doing everything right so I'm sure it's just that every person's body heals differently. My surgeon told me I was still swollen at my 6 wpo and said to expect it for another several months so I'm not sure why your surgeon disagrees. But try to keep positive!
