post op day 6 - shower day
Almost 1 week down, post op. Yesterday, doc took drains out and changed dressings on belly button, incision site and drain site. Today i should be excited to take shower per doc orders. My first shower in almost a week. I dont want to look at my belly or clean wound sites. Nor do i want to take off my compression garment to take the shower. However i do want to wash hair, body and shave my legs/under arms.... so, i am going to eat a healthy breakfast and psych myself to shower. Glad my shower has a shelf seat so that i can sit and shower. My back hurts!

post op day 4
My drains are not capturing much. My follow up with ps is Monday at 10 am. Hoping ps will remove my drains then. I can feel sharp pains and i think its the stitches where drains are located. Still taking pain meds for pain. Feeling good tho. I will upload photos soon. I am excited to do this because i look different and feel that i have achieved my goal. Yeah!

So glad to hear you're doing well. We had our procedure on the same day so I can relate to your day to day feelings. Those stitches around the drains feel like needles. :) I try to keep those balls pinned to my shorts or in my rob pocket. Did your PS say your drains could come out after 5 days?

My drains arent filling anymore. So, i would think she would take them out, right? Anyhow, i go to ps in am. Ill let you know what happens. How r u feeling? Better?

I am getting better each day. I have about 1-3ml each day in my drains so I am waiting the 7 days. I am soo happy for you. Can't wait to see your pics

Drains are out. Shower tomorrow. Wednesday appt ps will take out belly button stitches. Ps says tummy and belly button all look good. Strange thing is I cant bring myself to look at my tummy yet.....
