I think I look worse now
ORIGINAL POST
Different from Mock-ups and Too Upturned
I went with a rhinoplasty with Dr Denenberg in May 2021 because of the great reviews. So I wanted to provide a different perspective and possible different results.
I think I look worse now, because my nose is so upturned, the most prominent feature on my face is my nostrils. And every time I look in the mirror I’m reminded I spent a lot of money and now have an obvious surgery nose and pig nose. So that takes a lot of humility. It’s been 3 years, but it was especially shocking the first 6 months; it was kind of startling and scary to look in the mirror with how upturned it was.
The mock-up pictures he sent were good, but the angle of my nose turned out to be a lot more than 90 degrees, and it doesn’t look natural. And the mock-up pictures had a more refined tip as well.
To fix pig nose I’d have to pay a lot (again) to have a surgeon graft cartilage from my ribs into my nose, and that sounds risky too.
And my scar is still pretty noticeable too.
Also I thought this could help me breathe better but that turned out to be a different issue.
So I just want to encourage people to just take good care of themselves, work on their physical and mental health instead of these more drastic body alterations.
I think some people that aren’t happy with their results aren’t motivated to be vulnerable and share their experience, so I wanted to provide balance and a fuller picture.
