WARNING: Please read carefully before considering rhinoplasty with this surgeon.

I do not write reviews lightly, but after everything I have been through, I feel a responsibility to share my experience so others can make an informed decision.

I underwent rhinoplasty with Dr. Cucin expecting an improvement in both appearance and function. Instead, following surgery, I experienced SIGNIFICANT functional issues that were severe enough to ultimately require a second surgery.

What makes this especially difficult is that my concerns were never primarily about aesthetics. My concerns were about BOTH breathing and function.

Following my surgery, subsequent evaluation identified:
• Persistent septal deviation?• Nasal valve narrowing associated with airway restriction?• Decreased nasal airway space?• Structural asymmetry requiring reconstruction?• Loss of structural support requiring corrective intervention

As a result, I underwent a revision rhinoplasty with another surgeon.

This was NOT a minor cosmetic touch-up.

The revision required:
• Rib cartilage grafting because additional structural support was needed?• Reconstruction of internal nasal structures?• Septoplasty and airway correction?• Multiple grafting techniques to restore support and function

In plain English: a second surgeon had to reconstruct portions of my nose to address functional and structural issues that remained after my first surgery.

Equally concerning was my experience attempting to obtain help after surgery.

I repeatedly communicated concerns regarding breathing, structure, and healing. I experienced lengthy delays in communication and often waited weeks for responses to concerns that I considered significant. All of which have been thoroughly documented. If you are in communications with this surgeon, I STRONGLY recommend you do the same.

I became so concerned that I ultimately included other physicians and partners within the practice on my communications in an effort to ensure my concerns were reviewed and understood.

Despite these efforts, I left those interactions feeling that my concerns regarding function and breathing were not being meaningfully addressed.

What has been most disappointing is that throughout this process, the focus repeatedly returned to aesthetic appearance, while my primary concern remained functional outcome.

Every surgery carries risk. I understand that.

However, prospective patients deserve to understand the potential consequences when functional concerns remain unresolved.

To date, this experience has resulted in approximately:
• $6,000 for the original rhinoplasty?• $12,000 for the revision rhinoplasty?• $3,699 for diagnostic imaging related to the unresolved issues

Total direct medical costs: approximately $21,699

This figure does not include travel expenses, accommodations, additional recovery time, time away from work, or the emotional and physical burden of undergoing a second surgery.

When it comes to standards, some people's ceilings are other people's floors. I'll be sharing my photos, medical findings, and communications so others can decide for themselves whether they would be comfortable making the same choice I did.

To ensure transparency, I will be providing photographs and documented communications so readers can review the information and reach their own conclusions.
