Rhinoplasty with Dr Omer Faik Sagun
Horrible experience. Left with severe breathing problems. Please read if are planning to get nose surgery with Dr Omer Faik Sagun or in a different country.
MY EXPERIENCE:
Since getting my rhinoplasty with Dr Omer Faik Sagun, my life has been a living hell. I can't hold a job, could barely exercise as I feel mild suffocation every waking moment in my day.
It's been two years since my surgery with him and it was confirmed that my breathing issues was in fact caused by my rhinoplasty surgery with Dr. Omer Sagun Faik. I didn't think it was but please read to find out how I confirmed this:
At month 8 post surgery, I went to my own ENT in the United States to take a look at my nose since I had hard time breathing. My ENT stated he didn't see anything wrong with my nose and that my nose could still be swollen from the surgery. My nose on the outside looked fine aesthetically as well.
Since my own ENT advised me ti give it time to heal, I assumed my breathing issues was due to an allergy or lung issue. Therefore, this lead me to see an allergist 2-3 times and saw a lung specialist, all saying it's not related to my breathing issue. Also, no allergies were detected.
1 YEAR POST OP:
As time passed, I noticed my breathing hadn't gotten better. Although, I did notice how I had better breathing days than others (not by much). I learned blowing my nose with tissue that released those white fluff particles flared my nose, as well as heat, dry air or very humid environment. I also looked into saline sprays & rinses and a nasal gel spray which helped but discovering Oregano oil nasal sprays helped best, as well as being in a cool environment while laying down on my back/side. Some of the products I used were all used on my own will without consulting a doctor first, so I always recommend consulting with a doctor about before using products for your safety.
1 1/2 YEAR POST OP:
Waiting a whole year later, I recently saw a different ENT for a different opinion and I received my answers. He has informed me that my first surgery left me with a collapsed nose with deviated parts in my nose, small nose valves and had large turbinates. I felt relieved that I received my answers. It is life saving and I will be getting my surgery soon to fix my nose.
MY RECOMMENDATION:
I'm from the United States and understand surgery is not cheap in the United States. But honestly, save up your money and get it in the United States if you're from here. Do it for your safety and if anything goes wrong, at least you're in your home country. In addition, if it goes wrong, you would have to be lucky insurance covers your surgery or you'd be left paying for another rhinoplasty. I just wouldn't recommend getting surgery outside the country.
Unfortunately I became a victim due to TikTok's influence since it's so popular upon people there. Please don't get influenced. Please be safe.
REACHING OUT TO DR OMER:
Reaching out to Dr Omer's team (year 1 post op), I explained to them how I couldn't breathe. They denied responsibility and told me it must be an allergy problem, leaving me feeling helpless. I don't want you to go through this.
Take care.
