A Terrible Mistake

After a very long time, I am here to share my unhappy experience and results with Dr. Garrett Bennett. I did an internet search and found that every time I searched for, “The best rhinoplasty doctor in NYC,” his name would show up. So I started researching about him. All the reviews were great. He had 5 star rating from all websites I visited. However, when I went for my consultation, he sounded professional and insured me great results. He played kindness and humor. I went back to see him a second time to ask him few more question before scheduling for the surgery, but he didn’t seem happy about me asking more questions. I just went on with the procedure, because I was so excited to get my nose done. I only needed to straighten my bridge, lift my nose up, and a septoplasty, nothing much. The surgery was scheduled at 1:00 pm, but he was running late. He arrived at the facility about 1:30, and I guess he rushed through my surgery. After the surgery, I can’t express enough how painful was the recovery. I was calming myself down that it’s all going to be worth it. When it was time to remove the splint, he was so aggressive that I got nauseous and almost fainted. I didn’t understand why was he just pulling the splint out instead of going easy. He is not such a gentle doctor, and he seemed to me that he was taking outside problems into his office. I went back home crying of the way he handled my splint. However, after weeks and months I was noticing that my nose was not looking normal, but I didn’t quick to judge, as I will give it a full one year recovery. It then passed a year and 7 month and my nose looked strange. After multiple post up visits, the conclusion of my rhinoplasty was: one I have a cartilage hanging on my right nostril. Two, I have a depression on the left side of my bridge, because of removing a lot of the bone, which made my nose look crooked. Three, I don’t have a bridge anymore it collapsed. Four, I have different nostrils and different side views of my profile because of moving unnecessary cartilage from my right side. The big problem was that he didn’t want to admit that there were mistakes. He kept on manipulating the truth. I consulted another doctor in NYC for a second opinion, and he said exactly what I said went wrong with my rhinoplasty. After he noticed that he had ruined my nose, he agreed that I need a revision. My nose now needs a reconstructive surgery. It needs more work than the minor problems it had.  The only positive thing that I gained from this experience, is that I breathe much better. Therefore, his experience is in sinus and breathing issues. So if you are seeking him for cosmetic, I advice you to go to someone else. He has no experience or expertise whatsoever in cosmetic. At the end of my unsuccessful rhinoplasty, It turned out that all those google reviews were fake. He paid for the reviews as well as the search engine results. Be careful of doctors like him, and always do a deep research before attempting to put your face or body in someone’s hands.
