Revision booked with Dr.Rival in two weeks!
$8,000
Going in for my revision with Dr.Rival in less than two weeks now! Super nervous. He expects this surgery to be closed. He is going to hopefully narrow it! Will update after.

Saw Dr.Rival in person for a follow up!
Hey everyone,
Thought I’d give an update on my situation! Went in today, about 13 months post op.
My nose is still very wide, and puffy and doesn’t look good. Dr.Rival was great - very understanding. I got another steroid shot for the asymmetrical swelling! He brought up a revision and said to wait a few more months, and that it would be a minor one just to narrow the bridge and shave down a small bump. Overall feeling better - due to his understanding. Still not happy with the result but happy he’s willing to have a discussion about a revision! Not sure if this revision will cost anything? That’s something I’ll be discussing with him in the future.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience and pictures! Do you have any updates now? I read that with thick skin, it can take up to 24-36 months for the swelling to go down completely... was this your experience at all? I hope you're well!

7 Months Post-Op - still not happy
Thought I may as well post an update.
It’s now been just over 7 months since I had my surgery. I’ve basically accepted that I’ll need a revision at this point as my nose is still very wide, and has not changed. Dr R insists it’s swelling but I’m fairly sure he just didn’t make my bridge thinner, as I asked. It’s wider than it was pre-surgery.
The side profile is great, but I’m disappointed with the front view - which was my biggest concern pre surgery. I have my follow up with Dr Rival later this month and I’m going to ask him about the revision process.

Yes I agree after 7 months there should not be that level of swelling front view/width... I'm sorry you will have to have a revision, i had to have 2 (in a 3 year period) !!! urg... Good luck hun, you'll get there.. looking very pretty re profile though, no more hump (I had one like yours too, and i was glad to see it gone!) HUGS x
Hey!! Thank you so much for your thorough documentation of your healing process - this has been immensely helpful for me to understand what the healing process is like. I, and I'm sure many others, sincerely appreciate it.
Do you have any updates after your follow up with your doctor re revision? Fingers crossed it really is just swelling.
He's been very flakey unfortunately! Haven't been able to see him since late January. I'm almost 10 months now so I've given up hope. Definitely think I'll need a revision. I'll update after I talk to him, unfortunately nothing new in recent month
Has there been any improvement in the past few months? Also would you say the difference after the injections was major or subtle? Thanks so much for all your posts, it's so helpful!
No and no unfortunately. I think the injection left a dent - definitely no improvement. I'll post some update pictures soon, but honestly no real difference. He's been extremely flaky as I've been trying to get an appointment with him. Nothing to do but wait and see what he says...
If you feel the side of your nose and it’s bone that is what the nose will confirm too.. and yea it’s shitty doctors use swelling as an excuse all the time!!! You could also visit dr asaria I heard he is the best in Toronto although very very pricey!! I have heard and seen great things from him. Another thing many doctors only show the side which is much easier to get then the front... I do think your nose will confirm more to the shape and wrap around the bone better. Keep us posted
