Out-of-state patients beware

I emailed Bustillo’s office to schedule a consultation as I was highly interested in having a rhinoplasty with him bc I loved his work (to the point where I literally just wanted the consult so I could book a surgery date). Keep in mind I live far away and I am quite young. I did what I was told, sent photos, filled out my forms, and patiently waited for a call to book my virtual consultation. They gave me a time via email and I emailed back confirming the time. Although I tend to be impatient, I told myself to wait atleast 10 min after the scheduled phone consult to see and then I would call to see what is going on. Well, that call never arrived. I then called the office to follow up only for this woman by the name of Jessica to answer the phone and when I politely tried to get a consult booked, she was very condescending and basically saw my photos, but never even bothered to call me and was even LAUGHING at my photos bc they werent taken at the right angles like how am I supposed to know that when you didn’t put it in the instructions. Idk if they assumed because I was so young and lived out of state that they probably assumed I wasn’t going to spend money or actually go through with the procedure. News flash: ALL your potential patients should be treated with EQUAL amounts of care. That put me off so much and the fact after all that hassle they had the audacity to try to charge me 100 for a consult I was blown away. Oh ya, and they lied saying that they tried to call me “several times” lol my phone was on and I emailed them the correct number they never called me. The fact that they assumed because of my age and how I looked that I wasn’t going to spend money or anything and the patient coordinator talking down to me was just astonishing. Oh ya, and they would actively be posting on their social media pages, but couldn’t even bother to send a simple email or phone call atleast acknowledging me as a patient. Tip of advice: your patient coordinators and receptionists are literally pushing potential patients away and they need to learn to be more organized and less passive aggressive over the phone. Secondly: out-of-state patients are NO LESS important than your in-state patients. I was so excited to share my experience, but no they decided to be rude, unorganized, lie, and disrespect me so I will go to another surgeon who will value my time, money, and me as a patient. I can’t even imagine dropping 9-10k, booking hotel, only to be told my surgery was “cancelled” I could never trust someone like that to touch my face.Save your money and go to another surgeon who doesn’t view his patients as a joke. PS: the office is closed at 5pm so I knew that phone consult time was fake.
