I went to Dr. Frati at just 18 years old, trusting him with both my face and body. He performed a rhinoplasty that went wrong and then a revision surgery that left me with almost no bridge to support my nose. Years later, my nose completely collapsed and had to be fully rebuilt using rib and ear cartilage.
He also did my breast augmentation at 18, using PIP implants, which were later replaced. The replacements were far too large for my frame. I lost all sensation and the ability to breastfeed. I’ve since had the implants removed by an excellent surgeon who corrected the damage with a reduction and lift.
My experience was traumatic and left me with serious, lasting damage. I believe far more care, consideration and screening should be done before operating on someone so young. At 18, I didn’t truly understand what I needed or the long-term consequences, and I don’t feel I was properly guided. I regret ever putting my trust in Dr. Frati.
