2 Rhinoplasties with Dr. Güncel Öztürk: He Ruined my Nose and Health:

1. First rhinoplasty with Dr. Guncel Ozturk:
-Extreme asymmetry
-Bump still remained
-Polly beak deformity
-I had a black point on my nose right after rhinoplasty that I didn‘t have before (and I still have it)

2. Second rhinoplasty (revision) with Dr. Guncel Ozturk:
-Asymmetry still remained
-Bump still remained, but less
-I evolved severe post-nasal drip and been undergoing medical treatment for months, yet it still remains. The result is not only aesthetically unpleasing, but I also have serious health issues.

-> 1.5 years after the second (revision) surgery:
I asked Dr. Guncel Ozturk for compensation for this terrible result (so I can undergo revision rhinoplasty in my home country). They refused, claiming there was “much positive improvement.” Completely unacceptable. And they didn‘t help me since.

My experience from start to finish:

-First consultation: lasted no more than 5 minutes. He rushed me out after talking very fast.

-After the first surgery:
Immediately after bandage removal, a severe asymmetry was clearly visible.
• I was told: “It’s just swelling.”
• The asymmetry never went away.
• I was forced to wait two years for “full healing.”
• Instead of improving, my nose became worse over time.

-Communication with the clinic after first surgery:
• I sent photos to the surgeon.
• His assistant replied that my nose was “not suitable for his technique.”
• This was shocking and unacceptable.
• After I demanded accountability, the assistant claimed the message was “meant for another patient and not for me.”
• Highly unprofessional and careless communication.

-Second surgery (revision):
• I did not pay for the surgery itself, but was charged €2,000 cash for the hospital stay.
• After surgery, a nurse told us we could go home immediately.
• I stated clearly that I felt unwell and wanted to stay in the hospital -> which I had paid LOTS OF MONEY for. And it was only 1 day.
1 day for 2000 Euros. Can you believe it?!
• Only after the nurse spoke to the doctor was I allowed to stay.
• This raised serious concerns about my care and safety. Highly unprofessional.

-Results after second surgery:
• Initially looked acceptable after bandage removal.
• One week later, the same bump reappeared.
• Again, I was told it was “swelling.”
• 1.5 years later, the issue remains.

-Health consequences:
• Since the second surgery, I suffer from chronic post-nasal drip.
• I am still in medical treatment to this day.
• I now require another revision surgery, which costs aprox. 15,000.- in my country.

-Responsibility avoidance & incompetence:
• When contacting the clinic, assistants kept redirecting me:
• “We are not responsible, contact this department.”
• Then: “We are not responsible either, contact someone else.”
• This went on repeatedly -> pure incompetence.

Final response from the clinic:
• “Dr. Guncel will be happy to assist you with any concerns. However, a refund is not possible. Based on before-and-after images, a positive aesthetic improvement can be observed. Wound healing varies from patient to patient.”
• Completely dismissive and unacceptable. There is no positive improvement.

Important clarification:
• I drink 2 liters of water daily.
• I eat healthily, use sunscreen, and followed all post-op instructions.
• I took excellent care of my nose.
• Healing is not the problem, the surgeon is.
How can the same issue happen twice?
• Conclusion: My aesthetic appearance and my health have been permanently damaged by this doctor.

I am writing this review to warn others. Do not make the same mistake I did! :(
