WORTH IT
Hi again! Just wanted to give an update and share my progress :) incredibly pleased with my new nose :) Had a busy schedule and traveling, so haven’t been here in a while. There has been very little swelling, only find it swells when I am overworked or tired. Slowly getting back to working out, don’t want to overdue it quite yet. I am still taping at night only, I will continue for a couple more weeks. Also, wanted to share this amazing product for tape removal that I found on Amazon!! Works incredible for removing tape so you don’t need to use nail polish remover.... Found it the hard way when I had the displeasure of getting acetone in my eye a couple of weeks ago and that experience led me to finding something different... and man, does it ever work great!! I included a photo of it along with some before and after photos :) Had some requests for pictures from the front, I honestly had a challenging time finding any before photos head on/facing forward... I always did the classic head tilt to try and disguise the depth and shape of my nose in photos, especially after the columella started hanging down and the bridge became so wide/boney, filters only go so far and head tilting was something I did for years to compensate. BUT those days are finally long behind me :) I can truly see the improvement and also on the sides of the bridge which used to be so wide with strong dark lines (bone) that appeared as thick shadows down the sides of my nose starting from the top... are now so softened and much more petite and feminine. I am soooo grateful and soooo happy. Thanks to Dr. Palma I am more confident than ever before and feel on top of the world. The process was actually therapeutic for me as through this process, I realized I was beating myself up inside for so many years. I disliked having photos taken and the need to want to change this was overwhelming at times. I can’t express enough what this did for me, what Doctor Palma did ultimately changed my life. I used to dread photos that I didn’t have the ability to correct. Although people considered me attractive before this, my nose became more and more strong after the first rhinoplasty and the columella really became problematic and the boney bridge was never right the first time. It really took it’s toll on me. I worked with what I had and tried to move forward, but it always bothered me. Another very big issue was that I was completely blocked on my left side from the septum being so deviated.... and now I can finally breathe better then I could at 8 years old, when I first broke my nose!!! Now I can smile and look straight into a camera and no longer feel the need to use filters!!! I thought I’d share a story... Something amazing happened after arriving back in the US from Italy. I was very jetlegged and ran to the ladies room at the airport and did what I always did in autopilot for so many years on countless trips, which was get out makeup and start contouring and powdering my nose, it was my regular routine at countless airports through the years. So I walked up to the mirror after pulling everything out and looked up.... and started bawling because the reflection looking back was so beautiful, my nose looked so soft, I had nothing to do but put my makeup away and smile :) Tears of joy writing this :) For those reading who are pursuing a revision rhinoplasty, I say go for it, do what makes you happy. If someone in your family supports your wishes you, be grateful and treasure it. If someone doesn’t support your wishes, don’t worry. They will eventually come around, just like my husband did. Just be patient. He was apprehensive for years but started to see how it was taking it’s toll on my ability to be in the moment, where simple things like having photos taken together or with family became torture afterward seeing how my nose photographed. He finally realized what it was doing to me. I cringed at special moments simply because of my nose and the angles people took photos at. If it weren’t for him seeing me suffer all of those years, he wouldn’t have wanted to find the best revision rhinoplasty surgeon in the world.... Dr. Palma!!!! I am enormously grateful. At the end of the day, it is your body, your life and no one is walking in your shoes. If you have friends who support you, that’s amazing!! Be grateful. If someone judges you, then it’s their issue. Do it for you, not for anyone else. Your body is your temple and if something truly bothers you deep
down inside, then do what makes you happy, but remember to keep it in balance. Now I can’t wait to dive into life experiences I was not fully in the moment of enjoying, get on with living and documenting special moments with endless photos and videos :) I’m so grateful to my husband for caring so much and ultimately finding Dr. Palma... and to Dr. Palma for making a truly positive impact on my life. Here are more photos as some didn’t post in my update for some reason!
Absolutely thrilled with my revision rhinoplasty with Pietro Palma in Milan, Italy!! Here are more before photos showing the severe columella overhang as a result of rhinoplasty 18 years ago, long nostrils from the side, with a wide boney bridge, diviated septum and thick cartilage above the tip. And the after photos were taken immediately today after having the taping removed. If any of you are considering rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty, Professor Palma is the absolute best!! This revision has changed and positivly impacted my life on the deepest level imaginable!!

You are probably seeking rhinoplasty or something that makes you feel better about yourself, otherwise you wouldn’t be here commenting with hate. As Marcusi said, this isn’t a place fo trolls. But I am very used to some jealous women commenting with judgmental insecurities on social media... so join the club :D

Oh thank you so much :) Yes, Dr. Palma and his skill/expertise has truly made a world of difference for me. I had my first rhinoplasty with Dr. Zemplenyi. He was quite reputable and aside from the bump I had due to several breaks as a kid, he advised me to correct the deviated septum but the additional fee to do so made it financially impossible for me, therefore I opted not to do it and just correct the bump and narrow the tip. The result was minor and very initially... but reversed throughout the years. So happy my husband found Dr. Palma! Now people say I look so much younger, last night our friend kept saying you look so pretty and so young... what is different about you? That was amazing to experience :) Thank you Dr. Palma!!

Who did your first surgery? I saw your post saying Beverly Hills is botch capital. I’m planning to do a rhinoplasty there. Any feedback is much appreciated.
Hi, I was replying to someone who mentioned Beverly Hills as being the botched capital. My initial surgeon was not in Bev Hills. I did see a few docs there inquiring about a revision but I didn’t get a very secure, 100% feeling that it could be delivered accurately. I have heard from friends that botched is a new thing there though and you pay double or triple. Additionally, the visits were super short and I just felt I was a number in line and that their time was very limited. It was the complete opposite with Dr. Palma. Rhinoplasty is a very specific field, so look for a doctor who specializes in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. So many surgeons nowadays do everything from hair grafts to brazilian butt lifts... I wanted someone who specialized specifically in rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty and this is ultimately what lead us to Doctor Palma! Afterall, our nose is in the middle of our face, it’s not something to take lightly. My experience with Dr. Palma was truly perfect and beyond the typical US doctors in terms of skill, care, time spent, staff, hospital stay, etc. Alitalia also has a deal with Dr. Palma and will give 50% off of your flight tickets :)
There are a few drs who tout themselves as revision specialists. The number one guy (at least thats what he calls himself) should not be allowed to hold anything sharper than nail clippers, he has a multitude of botched patients who have had to fly to England and Italy to be fixed.
Thank you for the clarification and info. I appreciate it very much. In the process of researching docs and it just get so much more complicated. As I keep reading it makes the decision much more difficult.

All l know is I have a lot in common with every persom I have physicality met or have connected with through the process of revision with Dr. Palma, as we are all completely thrilled with the results due to his great expertise and flew from aroumd the world to have him give us our dream rhinoplasty :)
Hi! It is my pleasure. You know, I just want to share that I was where you are at in terms of feeling it was becoming much more complicated. In fact, I had practically made up my mind and being completely honest... I was quite overwhelmed. I am from the states originally and thought the US surgeons were my best option. I assumed that if the surgeon charged a higher price, that made them more experienced ane skilled. But I was wrong. My husband initially found Dr. Palma and I can honestly say it was the best decision ever!! Part of my issue was that I thought it would be nice if the surgeon in the US could also do another procedure at the same time... that was one of the major confusions for me, because I saw they did a plethora of different procedures and could simultaneously... but unless they are a specialist in one specific area, it is a big gamble because for example, maybe they are skilled with a mini face lift but have very little skill with rhinoplasty, let alone revision which is a very complex procedure. What I learned from this experience and in meeting Professor Palma is that I should have researched better the first time. Had I saw a skilled rhinoplasty specialist the first time, I wouldn’t have needed to find Dr. Palma. He is a professor teaching other doctors around the world about the skill and complexities of rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty. I am eternally grateful to have found him. The most important thing is to find the right surgeon. Anyway, he is a genius and can rescue the most difficult cases. I am so grateful I went to him to focus only on revision instead of being sold to do more than one procedure with someone who knew very little about the one thing people see more than anything... our nose. He did, it was years of sheer living hell. He has mutilated so many of us. Five of us were fixed in London by Mr Ion, some were unfixable. So soul destroying. Only when you have walked in our shoes can you understand the trauma.

Post op appointment with Professor/Doctor Pietro Palma in Milano, Italy!!!!!
Sooooo today I had my second post op appointment and finally had my taping removed!! :) Professor Palma was in contact with me via whatsapp and I met with his very kind colleague in Milano today (Professor is on Holiday/Ferragosto is the biggest holiday in Italy) who was also present and observing my procedure exactly 2 weeks ago today. I met him at Professor Palma’s clinic (La Clinica Del Viso). He was very kind (also speaks perfect English) and delicately removed the taping and cleaned my nose. OK.... SO. Let let me just say people... I AM ABSOLUTELY IN LOOOOOVE WITH MY NEW NOSE!! Please check out more before photos as well as photos I took in the car after leaving the clinic, without any filters. This is the first time since filters arrived on the market that I ever used my iphone camera to take a selfie without a filter!! My skin needs a good cleaning right now and you will see there was a little tape residue in the photos ;) The bruises under my eyes are nearly gone now. I used Arnica Montana gel and tablets which speed up the healing process. My nostrils from the side are half in length!! And no more columella overhang!! I just can’t believe how beautiful, petite and feminine it looks!! We went for a meeting soon afterward and our friend said, you look so beautiful and like a teenager :) I have some swelling in he mid/top of the bridge but it’s to be expected. I am SO happy I could literally cry!! If this is how it looks 2 weeks post op, I can’t imagine how much better it will get in the coming months :) I am absolutely thrilled!! Anyone considering rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty, look no further!! Professor Palma is by far the best doctor on the planet!!. I am eternally grateful to you Professor Palma!! Thank you SO much!!

I've just got an answer from Prof. Palma assistant. After she asked me for more information about me, my nose and previous surgeries, she told me how much is the fee for the skype consultation. Can you tell me if you paid this before or after he reviewed your photos, surgery reports and others ? Because before making any payments I would like to what he can do in my particular case. Hi! Thank you so much :) I appreciate it! That is great you are already in touch. We had a different situation as we were already traveling to Italy in about a week after we wrote Doctor Palma. So we had tickets and were already booked so obviously it was planned to meet him while there. We knew we would pay for the in person consultation which for me, is what the initial meeting on Skype is. I hope this helps. You won’t be disappointed, it was a dream experience nd he is worth it!! Now, we head back to LA on Wednesday and I have my dream nose!!
Also, I forgot to mention... because you probably haven’t booked your tickets yet... talk with his assistant about th offer with alitalia, the hospital offers 50% off on airline tickets!! Had we known that prior to, we would have booked through them.

Hi! Thank you so much! I’m sorry, I forgot to reply! I can say that Dr. Palma has seen people from Australia, he truly is amazing and sought out around the world. Every revision is different and I don’t know your physical revision needs, but I can say this was the best decision for me and very reasonably priced, much less than in the US! He is super skilled with revisions and so well worth it!

Your nose looks fantastic! Your nose was similar to mine so it's so great to read your review and see how happy you are! And to read all the comments from happy Dr Pietro patients is so reassuring too. I have been in contact with him recently and have decided he will be my revision surgeon. I'm in NZ so it's a long way to go but it will be more than worth it. Even just in my email communications with him he sounds so caring, thorough and genuine. I really cannot wait to have surgery with him! If you don't mind sharing, I'd love to know how much you paid too. And how long did the surgery take? You will be so thrilled with your experience with him and the result!! For sure it’s a long journey from NZ, as was mine, but so incredibly worth it!! Every person has different needs so our prices might be different. I can say that it was much less than revision rhinoplasty in the US and considering he is the top rhinoplasty surgeon in the world, it was the ultimate best decision!! So worth the trip and time, I wouldn’t have done it any other way :) It’s so great his patients here on real self can also share their experiences with people like you :) My surgery took almost 4 hours. The anesthesiologist called my husband frequently to update him on my status and to share what was happening next. Very amazing!! I don’t remember anything, it was the perfect situation as I was a bit nervous, but Dr. Palma was so incredible, the anesthesiologist gave me a nice cocktail before so I was already ready to go sleep and felt so safe. The care and experience was unbelievable!! I flew back to the US about 2 weeks later but I think it’s possible to fly 1.5 weeks after. You can ask Dr. Palma :) Speaking of flying back... I was so jet legged when we landed back in the US and went to do my regular routine to powder/contour my nose in the ladies room... took one look in the mirror and started bawling... I was so overwhelmed with joy and my nose looked so perfect I didn’t need to do anything!! That’s when i really hit me in that tired state just how amazing my nose looked and my subconscious was a bit shocked in a good way :D Years of traveling with routines of camouflaging trip after trip... but no more contouring needed for this lady, thanks to Dr. Palma!! :) All in all, I’m so happy for you and can’t wait to hear all about your experience!! Hi, do you mind me asking the cost of surgery. I am currently saving for a revision and was quoted £9200 in UK.
I seem to remember that was around the price I paid Mr Ion. He fixed my nose and my upper lip which was severely botched.
