How it works
  • Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
  • This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
  • Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
  • Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Before and after

We feel a responsibility to address mischaracterizations. With 30+ years in rhinoplasty, Dr. Robinson, confidently qualified, emphasizes honest communication, a low 3-5% revision rate, and patient-focused care. We discuss revision options pre-procedure, stressing post-op communication and follow-ups. Rescheduling issues are beyond our control, and poor treatment comments reflect our ASOC staff, not our team's care. Despite these disagreements, we wish the author good health and well-being.

Regret

Choosing Dr. Robinson for my primary rhinoplasty and revision rhinoplasty was a decision I deeeply regret.

During the consultation, I mistook Dr. Robinson’s confidence as expertise, but later realized it was just cockiness. During the pre-op appointment, he showed his lack of care for my case by saying: "Well, there is always revision rhinoplasty," as if he already anticipated a poor result.

The actual day of the surgery turned into a nightmare. That morning, the nurses called him at least twice, and kept updating me that he was running late but he was on the way. After waiting there for hours, IV hooked up to my arm, in a hospital gown, and mentally prepared, I was informed that Dr. Robinson wouldn't be making it due to a supposed "faulty surgical bed." It was a pitiful excuse, as everything was prepped and ready; he was running so late that my surgery had to be cancelled. I held back my tears until I was outside the building, unable to contain my disappointment any longer.

It took over a year of careful consideration before I proceeded again. Unfortunately, I made the wrong decision. We eventually scheduled the primary rhinoplasty, but the second attempt did not deliver the desired results. The asymmetry was worse, the side profile was the same, and I felt my time and money had been wasted.

Anxious and desperate, I decided to undergo a revision rhinoplasty with Dr. Robinson about one year after the primary procedure. Despite everything, I held on to the hope of finally achieving the results I had initially envisioned. Unfortunately, over one year post-revision, the issues I sought to correct persist. It is more crooked compared to the first rhinoplasty, and functionality has deteriorated, with breathing becoming an ordeal due to my right nostril frequently becoming blocked.

Adding to the bad experience from the revision rhinoplasty, the anesthesiologist's comment seconds before putting me to sleep was shockingly racist. He said, "Don't worry, you'll be eating Taco Bell in no time." This offensive remark was met with laughter from the operating room staff, further eroding any trust I had left. For reference, I am Hispanic.

A year after the revision rhinoplasty, my left nostril still drips constantly. During a follow-up, I asked Dr. Robinson to assess my nose from a lower angle, as I noticed one nostril was now higher than the other and a keloid had formed. This concern was met with annoyance, as he responded, "Really? We're looking inside your nose now? Is that what we're doing?" Yes, that is exactly what I expected from a paid medical professional – a thorough examination from every angle.

Dr. Robinson's before and after photos are limited to side profile views, which raises questions about his ability to deliver well-rounded results. The lack of attention to the front profile is an obvious flaw in his approach. My rushed revision surgery highlights his lack of commitment to achieving a satisfactory outcome.

Some reviews (who cares about office decor when you’re talking about your plastic surgery result?) praise the ambiance of his office, but my focus was solely on the expected results, not complimentary bottled water and York peppermint patties. The disconnect between the aesthetic appeal of his practice and the actual results is evident.

I share this experience not to discourage others from seeking cosmetic surgery, but to caution against trusting Dr. Robinson with such a delicate procedure. The signs were there, and I should have paid attention to them. My journey has been marked by disappointment, regret, and a constant reminder that this doctor was never the right fit for me.

—Lastly, I noticed his team has replied to negative reviews claiming they are non-existent patients in their system or that the patient is at fault because they should have returned for a follow-up for more treatment options if they were unhappy. I will never return to that office. If you are a part of his staff and you are reading this - do not reply to my post and do not contact me. This review isn’t for you, it’s to hopefully help others looking for a good plastic surgeon.
