Rhinoplasty with Dr Eymen Oruc

I went for a rhinoplasty with Dr Eymen Oruc through ClinicHub and stayed in the Burgu Arjaan hotel. I did not bring a companion which I could have done for a small fee.

Service
There was plenty of support at Clinichub, with various contacts via WhatsApp, at the hotel and those who come with you to the check-ups/hospital. Gul, Ozge, Berfin and Miray were all lovely and very helpful answering any questions I had. A movie night was also put on with popcorn during the recovery period at the hotel which was a nice touch. The day after surgery when you’re back at the hotel you get checked up on plenty by the nurses at the hotel and they check in every morning you’re there. It was reassuring to know that the nurses were at the hotel 24/7 if I needed them. I would recommend bringing a companion however as I ended up feeling a bit homesick and very sorry for myself after the surgery and having someone with me probably would have changed that, although I did end up chatting with a couple of the other girls at the hotel who had come on their own too.

Hotel
The staff at the hotel were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were lovely and spacious and room service was generally good and quick (although sometimes it would take a second call to get ice for the swelling). Breakfast was great with plenty of options and the staff at breakfast were lovely.

Hospital
Everyone was friendly at the hospital, although many of the nurses could not speak English and unfortunately I cannot speak Turkish but the nurses did try to use google translate to communicate which was nice. When I arrived at the hospital, I filled in loads of medical papers and then had my pre-op consultation with my surgeon and a lady from Clinichub who helped convey my requests. I was first in for surgery in the morning and woke up in the afternoon. The hospital food was soup, and yoghurt and juice for dinner and bread, olives and preserves for breakfast with tea.

Surgery
My surgeon was Dr Eymen Oruc. He was very nice and informative, and made sure he was clear on what I wanted. He did an amazing job! I am still in my recovery period (day 8) with minimal swelling at the moment and I have limited movement of my top lip (I have the second cast on for another few days) but I have seen my before and after pictures, as well as seeing my new nose at the 1st cast removal and absolutely love the result and can’t wait to see how it looks fully healed.

The only thing I would note is that you get a lot of post-op information told to you. Helpfully, some of it (how to tape your nose and how to massage) is recorded for you to refer back to. It may be helpful to also get an FAQ or written note of the post op timings (cast off/how long to wear the retainer/how long to tape for etc.). Although there is always someone available on WhatsApp to answer queries and you can message your surgeon directly which is handy.
