JOURNEY
I have had some breathing issues and decided to have a Rhinoplasty with Dr. Eymen Oruç via ClinicHub. From the initial process/contact speaking with Ilayaday Ergin (patient coordinator) she really took the time to answer my questions and meet my needs to inform me from start to finish as well as after care instructions. Even the smallest details (transportation, hotel, where to get picked up etc) was already planned out. After discussion, I went with Dr. Eymen and I am very glad I did. During our consultation he understood my needs and was honest and forthcoming as to what he can do. Before the surgery, Mr. Ali (worked at the hospital) helped to translate and ensure I understood and answered all my questions. After the surgery, Miray Tuncu (communication specialist) and Özge Hazna (communication specialist) were extremely helpful with coordinating and updating me as what is to come, taking the stress and worries away. Thank you, ladies!
PROS:
1) Using WhatsApp to communicate, ask questions, get required documents (doctors note, sick leave etc).
2)I stayed at the Burgu Arjaan by Rotana (booked via ClinicHub as part of the package). The facilities were wonderful. Room was clean, comfortable and had everything I needed.
3) The breakfast in included was amazing! Great varieties of foods and drinks.
4) Special thanks to Esma that works in the Canteen. I was often embarrassed as to how I looked after the surgery, and she was so sweet and accomodating, making sure I had the foods I wanted or needed. Really appreciated her warmth and kindness.
CONS/Areas of improvement:
1) I found it a bit difficult at times to get ice from the hotel at times to help with my swelling- but once I got it, it was greatly appreciated
2) It would have been great if there was a schedule that the nurses came for the check ups (i.e., everyday at 9 or 10am) that way I could plan my day more accordingly, since I had two other travel companions. However, the service and attitudes of the nurses were exceptional and extremely professional. Thank you, all!
TIPS: Bring Vaseline, cough drops for post op as you will be breathing from your mouth and your throat will be dry.
