Painful Lesson

I had a correction rhinoplasty with Dr. Ismael, and I can confidently say it was one of the most disappointing and distressing medical experiences I’ve ever had. This was supposed to be a minor revision of a surgery I had 20 years ago—my nose had aged gracefully, remaining slim and elegant, with only a slight change at the tip. I made it explicitly clear that I only wanted a subtle refinement—not a complete overhaul.
Unfortunately, Dr. Ismael either ignored or completely misunderstood my concerns. Instead of respecting the natural structure of my face, he aggressively altered my nose, making it visibly wider and out of balance with my features. The result is not only aesthetically unflattering, but it has also left me feeling like a stranger in my own skin. I deeply regret ever going through with this surgery.
To make matters worse, when I reached out to him with my distress, he advised me to return—without being upfront about the fact that he was only offering a non-surgical injection as a solution. That injection, far from helping, made things even worse by enlarging the tip of my nose and exaggerating the already disappointing outcome.
If you’re considering rhinoplasty—especially if your needs are minor or aesthetic—think very carefully before choosing Dr. Ismael. In my experience, he did not listen, did not communicate transparently, and showed no real commitment to correcting the damage done. This has been a painful and emotionally exhausting lesson that I wouldn’t wish on anyone.
